The location of the property was ideal, a beautiful view of the beach. The property however wasn’t ideal. I do not feel that Expedia accurately reflected the property online, from the lack of cleanliness of the rooms, the lack of cleanliness of the breezeway down to the elevator barely functioning. Even the front of the building wasn’t clean when you first pull into the parking lot.
The highlight of me visiting this property was Taylor. Though I chose not to stay at this property due to what was stated above, Taylor was an absolute delight. Very professional, thoughtful and accommodating.
I booked the room on a Friday evening and per Expedia’s policy, a refund can’t be granted within 24 hours of check-in. I booked the room within 24 hours of check-in. I arrived Saturday.
I contacted Expedia immediately, about the inaccuracy of the pictures on the website and was denied a refund. I also asked to speak with a manager to possibly assist with resolving my issue and per April, the Expedia representative that was assisting me and that didn’t place either. I later found out that this is a very common practice with 1 in 3 reservations having this exact issue and losing funds due to this. For this reason I will no longer be using Expedia to book any of my travel needs.
