They called day of and said they were overbooked and had to change our room. Said it was still ocean view because it had a wrap around balcony. The only time you could see the water was around the balcony, not through a window. It was too cold and windy to stay there at all. Also the balcony door would not stay closed unless latched when you were inside and the heat didn't work. They brought a portable heater. The staff were nice, but I never book a room without an ocean view on the beach. I knew it would be cold. Planned on watching football in the room most of new years day but seeing the ocean out the window. I would have gone somewhere else had I known in time. Also two uncomfortable queens intead of king bed. Stayed many times for years, twice A year. Will not go again unless given some guarantee. I have to pay if cancelled too late, so should the hotel be held to the same standard.
