"Positive: The hotel has an absolutely fantastic location – probably the best in all of Venice. It is close to everything, and only about 20 meters from the public boat transport, which is an excellent way to get around the city. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was good. Negative: The hotel shows some wear and tear, and you can tell that certain things are due for replacement. For example, some of the bathtubs/showers, the TV sets, and various items around the rooms. What really made the overall experience worse, however, was the check-out. This is a relatively high price to pay for accommodation, and with such rates I would assume that the staff are already fairly compensated. Yet when the final bill was presented (including minibar, bar purchases, etc.), an automatic 5% service charge had been added to the total accommodation cost – essentially a mandatory tip. This annoyed me enough that I removed the entire amount."

"Flott hotell, men slitte rom. Senga var veldig god og bade ganske ny oppusset. God frokost og flott beliggenhet. Uteserveringen var ikke så hyggelig som før. Blomster og gjerde var borte og nå bare en platting."

"First time in Venice and it could not have been better. When we planned our trip, we wanted to have a "great Venice experience" incl great location. We could not end up in a better place. The hotel is located next to the San Angelo Vaporetto stop. So going from the garage (San marco), just over "piazzale Roma"- and take linea 1. The staff in the reception is fantastic!! We were welcomed in a great way. Helpful with pointing out sights, "do's and don't's" and all info you need. We've booked a "room with portial view", but we were not only got that, but a big balcony with fantastic view over Grand Canal and Rialto Brigde. Room was not the biggest, but clean and all you need. Great breakfast with great selections of food. We had incl breakfast but not all warm dishes were incl. The hotel (in cooperation with Murano glassfactory) provided a boattrip and visit. We now we are coming back to Venice...hope soon...and this would be our place. "Why change a great/winning combination!?" Thanks to all staff. Grazie."
