Home from home
The proprietors are very friendly and obliging and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spotless and very well equipped with a large shower (room Agatha). It's in an excellent location both for the beach, town centre and harbour. There is also a nice garden with nice new garden furniture. We like it so much that we have been going for the last 5 years.

A lovely stay with stunning views.
A fantastic stay at amber house. Rooms very clean, lovely bathrooms and fantastic view! We stayed in the ‘harbour’ room which was a double room, single room and bathroom. Fantastic set up for us with our daughter who got her own room with the security of both rooms being behind the one door so all safe and secure. Lovely breakfast and my hubby asked for extras on his fry up which was no trouble at all. My only suggestions is, a notice somewhere in the room with the Wi-Fi password . The double bed in the room was a little on the small side, and maybe a blackout blind as well as the slat blinds as it was very light in the morning. Absolutely fantastic views , great location with walking distance to Paignton and goodrington beaches. A fantastic stay and I’m sure we’ll be back. Will also recommend you to family and friends.

wouldn’t recommend anywhere else!
Amazing friendly service! Having stayed in multiple places throughout Torbay, I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else! Everyone couldn’t help enough! The little one loved the caring and attentive owners all weekend!

The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful and certainly give Amber House a homely feel and it's got a lovely little garden plus i love their 'honesty bar' a really great idea 😁 It's located in a quiet location but you're only a 10 minute walk to Paignton Harbour and the seafront plus it's only a short walk to the steam train station as well.

Had a lovely stay at Amber House, hosts couldn't do enough for you, lovely rooms, great breakfast and walking distance to town and beach, loved the honesty bar and being allocated your own table for the duration of your stay, would happily stay again.

Wonderful place to stay. Very dog friendly which meant you could relax with your dogs. Wonderful views. Amazing breakfast. Loved the honesty bar which catered for every taste. The owners were so lovely and helpful. Cant wait to stay again soon.

Excellent, clean, friendly.
Just back from a lovely weekend in Devon. The highlight being our stay at The Amber House Paignton. The hosts Debbie and Paul were so warm and friendly and made us feel so welcome. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the home cooked breakfast second to none. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic place
What a fantastic place, couldn't be any better! Starting with a very friendly host Debbie and a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL room, followed by a great location in Paignton and delicious breakfast in the morning. And little things such as DVDs, books and available drinks are making the stay even better. We couldn't recommend this place more

We loved it here! We stayed in the Tall Ships room and it was spotlessly clean, really comfortable, and had a terrific view of the sea. Friendly staff and a great breakfast which we ate in the garden made the stay perfect. Can’t fault it.

Property is lovely decorated, good size and perfect location for both Paignton & Goodrington. Owners are amazing and friendly. Make a great breakfast too. It was our 2nd visit and would highly recommend and will definitely be going back again.

This is a great location. The hosts are so kind and welcoming. Nice room and allocated breakfast table. Great breakfast. There is an 'honesty' bar, which I thought was a great idea. Lovely gardens to relax. Lots of dvds and books to borrow, very thoughtful. Overall a lovely stay. Thank you.

Great gluten free hotel in Paignton
Welcoming, very clean & comfortable- sanitiser stations, masks and the same table allocated for breakfast. Excellent location out of town but easy walk to harbour, bus & train station. Gluten free food - coeliacs can feel safe here.

Comfortable, good value, well located
Wonderful welcome, friendly and attentive service from all. Excellent breakfast included, free parking, close to town - couldn't be better. Lovely garden with partial view of the harbour, limited bar available at inexpensive prices. Great location for sightseeing in the area.

Debbie and Viv made us feel like a member of the family. From check in to check out they couldn't do enough for us. The rooms aren't modern decor but that added to the homely feel. We stayed in the superking room which was amazing and as other reviews I have read stated the shower was awesome. Breakfast was so nice and we were offered more if we wanted. We don't have dogs but if you do then this is the hotel to stay in, the garden is lovely and dogs are well catered for. Prince was my favourite part of my stay and I enjoyed spending my Friday evening having lots of cuddles. We are planning on returning in the next few weeks and will continue to use the Amber House as our place to stay when in the area!

The location was perfect for the activities I undertook. I had a warm, not overly formal, welcome. Very good breakfast. There is a nice garden, too - you can eat out when weather allows.

New owners at Amber House, what can I say, well from start to end they have all made us feel so welcome. They are so polite, friendly and nothing was too much trouble to ensure our stay was perfect. Very kid friendly and also I would say really suitable for adults only. Great location and easy lovely walk to both Paignton & Goodrington Beaches. The guesthouse is amazing, from the second you pull into the drive, the entrance, rooms and garden are all amazing. Breakfast was stunning, delicious and so filling. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again. Thank you

Lovely 2 night stay at Amber House. We stayed in an upstairs room which was large enough and well equipped for 2 adults and a teenager, with 2 bedrooms. Debbie and Vivianne were great hosts. We loved meeting Prince!

The single room had 2 draws and a cupboard with a seperate ensuite shower and toilet. Everything was really clean and towels smelled fresh. The shower was extremley powerful and tempreature well controlled. Had tea aerved to me on arrival and in the room some lovely hot chocolate and biscuits which they replenished on room service. Breakfast was cooked to order and cooked well and with a smile. They have a lovely honesty policy for purchasing drinks and a range of dvds and books to borrow although tv screen a little small. Garden has a beautiful sitting area for reading. Overall excellent stay would come back again in a heartbeat.

The property is well kept and clean. The hosts go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and to meet your needs. They were very generous with their time and resources to my daughter and I. They lit candles at our request in the parlor for a cozier feel. The property is adjacent to a lovely park. Although we were in Devon for a somber occasion they showered us with great hospitality.
