Great location

This spot is a great location at Solara, we walked to the pool. We spent the week at disney and sea world and this is a very central location. We loved it to much we extended our stay an extra day and it was super easy. They responded quickly and kindly.

Needs some improvements

The house and resort were great. However, we found some cockroaches in the house and paid extra for heat for the pool which was cold. Unfortunately, the pool heater wasn’t taken care of until next to the last day we were there. I felt like we paid extra and didn’t receive the service.

Decent experience 6/10

Decent place to stay while visiting Disney. Stayed for 5 nights, just family of 4 even though house holds much more. Pros: house was pretty clean, plenty of towels, utensils, pots/pans, etc. Beds were very comfortable, nice TVs in each room, plenty of seating in each room. Property manager seemed like a really nice guy and was extremely responsive to any questions/issues. Nice furniture and fixtures in all the rooms. Cons: pool heat was not working first 2.5 days of our stay - water was in the high 60’s (we have a pool at home and could tell). This was acknowledged by the property manager. Essentially made the pool unusable during this time for our two kids who are 5 and 7. This was remediated and the pool was perfect for the final 3.5 days of our stay. Pool and spa lights did not work the entire stay. Two shower lights were broken, not too big of a deal. Dryer broke but was fixed the same day, much appreciated. Overall nice place to stay, but likely would not return due to the risk of a pool headache repeat causing it to be unusable for the kids.

Family Vacation

We arrived on a Thursday and the AC on the 1st floor was not working. We called the management company and someone eventually brought over 3 fans, as the AC techs were stuck in a storm. The next day we spent at Aquatica and arrived back that evening and the AC was fixed. I cleaned the pool of bugs on Saturday, but could not get it cleaned enough that the kids would go in. We spent Sunday at SeaWorld. I arrived back to clean the pool again and noticed holes in the net. I called the management company Sunday evening and was told somone would call back, they never did. I called again around 9:30 Monday morning and was told we would be added to the pool crews route, despite having callee about this issue the day prior. We took the kids to the resort in the meantime, it was fun, clean and nice! Despite somone being home from 9:30am - 5:30pm, and the pool crew having access otherwise, no one came to clean the pool or bring a new net. We left Tuesday morning. 6 days and 5 nights and we could not use the pool becuse of bugs and lack of proper equipment. The place was as advertised and the area was very nice and quiet. We would stay again, however when you pay for access to a private pool, you want to be able to use it at your discretion.

Family Vacation

Nice resort! Close to the club house, nice pool area, restaurant/bar & extra parking. The house was beautiful. Loved the privacy of the pool and enjoyed our time in it! The biggest issue was the amount of cockroaches we had to kill. There was a note saying that someone had been there and sprayed but there were still several. Only one pool stick was available as the other was broken and there were no balls for the foosball table. Overall, we had a wonderful stay!

Unfortunate experience.

Unfortunately we had an issue with cockroaches. There was an unsettling and significant amount throughout the home. Our party is understandable and patient; however, the cockroach issue was unacceptable. We brought it up to the management company and they sprayed the next day; however, there continued to be an overwhelming amount. We spoke with other guests at the resort, including homeowners, and they advised it was not a common issue, which made the experience more unsettling. Ultimately, my parents elected to leave, which was really unfortunate as that was our family vacation. We made sure that all food was put away, even putting all dry good in the refrigerator. We bought extra spray not mitigate the issue as well. It was honestly really gross. They crawled out of the dishwasher, from behind the stove, were on the countertops. We disposed of at least one hundred over the course of our stay. We would have left the property completely if we were able to find another place to stay as a family on such short notice. We also dealt with these issues at our own expense. The company seems to be just a large rental company turning over homes near Disney without much of a care. There is next to nothing included in the home itself (cleaning supplies, soap, etc) which was indicated in the listing. We had other minor issues with the home. It was fine overall, but absolutely very lived in. The other thing that was really ridiculous was the game room. We specifically booked that home for the pool table and foosball table. Both were unusable. The foosball table didn’t have a foosball and the pool sticks were without tips. I know it sounds ridiculous, but that is what my six year old nephew was most excited about, and we had planned that trip for his birthday. We drove to several stores and couldn’t locate a foosball. What a waste of time and money. Not something I would ever think twice about, had we not specifically booked it for my nephew. Other reviews have mentioned this issue as well. We told the company and they put tips on the pool sticks. We never did get a foosball. I believe this is minor, but coupled with the other issues, it was just not an experience Our family would ever endure again. A vacation and birthday celebration should be relaxing, and this was anything but.

Cockroaches

This home was beautiful upon first glance. Large rooms and nice location. The initial awe of the place wore off very quickly when we began to make dinner. Upon starting the oven several cockroaches began to run out from behind the stove onto the counters and appliances. We killed what we could, contacted the property management company who said they would call the property manager, we waited an hour (outside by the pool (no pool towels)) with no response, called again asking if there is another home we could go to, and they contacted the property manager on call who contacted us indicating they were sending a pest control company. Roaches were now running across the furniture. The company came and treated the home indicating it would take up to 10 days to notice reduced activity. At this point we went back into the home to clean up dinner (which no kitchen towel are provided not even one washcloth or dish towel along with no hot pads to remove oven items). Roaches were running on the appliances, walls, and countertops. We decided with the level of activity we were not comfortable staying. We contacted the property owners via email and moved our items to our vehicles and began the hunt for a new place (just what every family with small children wants to do the night before your Disney reservations AGH!). The next morning we heard from the owners who indicated we would not receive ANY refund (they were not interested in seeing our videos or pictures of the activity). VRBO was then contacted and after several 2+ hr conversations (and emails with photos and videos) will not offer any type of refund as the owner will not agree to one. We returned to the property to complete the checkout procedures the night prior to our originally scheduled leave as it was clear the owners did not care and we were fearful they'd tack on a checkout fee if we did not follow their procedures. When we entered the home there were still roaches crawling up walls, when we went to open the dishwasher to put away CLEAN dishes it was filled with roaches. Please, learn from our experience. We ended up having to finance not one, but two homes and our vacation was spent stressing about finances, and on the phone trying to deal with this and not spent being relaxed and enjoying our family time because of this. It was made VERY clear the owners do not see there to be a problem.

Awesome property!

This property was amazing, and better than anticipated! The only negatives at all were lack of washcloths, and pool cues need to be replaced. Also, bring your own pool towels. Will definitely stay here again.

Cockroach Infested

Initially, I had several positive things to say about this house, but that was all ruined after our first morning discovering ants an cockroaches all throughout the kitchen area. After the first morning I called the management team and reported ants in the kitchen. While we were at the Disney parks they came and treated the kitchen. Upon our return we found about 20 cockroaches we had to kill. I called again the second day and while we were at Disney they came and treated the kitchen again. We came home only to find dead cockroaches all over the kitchen area along with live ones. On the 3rd day I went out and bought a can of Raid. I left a good coating of spray all under the kitchen counters. This worked as about 100+ bugs crawled out and died. I sent plenty of pictures to the owner. I called management and emailed the owners every day, but was told after the second visit the Pest control company didn't see any bugs. The next day I left plenty of dead bugs lying on the floor so they could see the.. The number of bugs seemed to get less, but they were still crawling on the counters and floors on the 7th day when we checked out. Needless to say my entire family was totally degusted by this. The owner did give us a 2 night refund, but it hardly makes up for the stress and discomfort this caused my family.

Nice Place

The location near the clubhouse and resort pool amenities was amazing. The house was very well suited for our family however the house had some wear and tear from prior guests like marks on the wall in the game room but overall was in great condition. We didn't have any issues during our stay so all in all a good visit.

Great stay in Orlando!

We had a great stay at this house in Solara Resort! The house was surprisingly larger on the inside than what I thought it would be. We ordered a grill and pool heat. Had both with no issues at all. I was surprised at how warm the pool was, which was perfect, because we had a few really cool nights. The kids swam every single night! The house was very clean and just what we expected. We enjoyed the resort as well. We were so close to the main Resort clubhouse/pool which was really nice. The kids enjoyed the Flowrider, I didn't realize it would be an extra charge, but that didn't stop us. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Just a few issues

Beautiful resort! Close to club house, nice pool area, restaurant/bar & extra parking. People were friendly. The house had plenty of room. We did have some issues first they didnt give us the correct address, then there was bugs on counter top & in the dishwasher for the first few days. They said they provided one roll of paper towell, a dishwasher pod, a roll of toilet paper for each bathroom which they didn't. The ice maker water dispenser leeked, the cable in the game room didn't work & we only had one pool stick to share cuz there wasn't a tip on the second stick. Then to top it off I know they didn't have any controll over this but the people next door were blairing their music extremely loud then yelling to each other trying to talk over the music for 3 days. Overall we did have a great time.

Great Place for Multi-Generations

We had a great time at this property. It was as represented in the photos posted on Verbo. The property was clean and all appliances were in good working order. We were a group of nine with grandparents, adult newlywed children, parents, and grandkids ages 5 and 2. There was plenty of space and we didn't feel crowded. Three of the bedrooms had king-size beds which worked great for our group. The pool was the biggest hit with the grandkids. I paid the extra fee to have the pool heated and it was well worth it. But, they do not include pool towels with the rental - I highly suggest you bring your own. We visited Disney two days during our six-night stay. At the end of those days, it was a true pleasure to get away from the completely over-crowded parks and come back to a spacious house where we could relax, swim, and cook burgers,

Beautiful and Comfortable

This house was awesome! There was so much room for everyone to stretch out and not feel on top of each other. The pool/spa were a great bonus when we would get home each night. The closeness to the clubhouse was a nice surprise! If you are planning on visiting Disney World or Universal, the drive isn’t bad at all! There are also some great restaurants around the area! Only thing I’d recommend is to bring your own pool towels. The house basically has 1 bath towel per guest and no pool towels. To sum it up, all 10 of us enjoyed our stay!! Thank you very much!!

Such a great place!

We took our Pastoral Staff here for a vision planning retreat. We had plenty of space for our team and loved break times when we could play pool or get in the hot tub. Beautiful house- very clean- very spacious.

Nice VRBO Unit

Overall very good. Unit is large, spacious, clean, and generally as advertised. We loved the Solara Resort pool, fitness center, poolside food/drink. The staff there was very friendly.. It is a super quick walk from the villa. On the down side, there were barely enough towels for our group and we had to wash/dry often. There were no dish towels at all so we had to use paper towels. Responsiveness of the management company was mixed. We had issues with a broken shower valve and towel bar — these were fixed very promptly. OTOH, the nice foosball table, which our kids looked forward to, had no foosball. Although I was promised that one would be brought within 1-2 days, this never happened so we never got to use the table. Only 2 cue sticks, no chalk. Dryer switch finicky, but it worked. One King bed with a big dip in the mattress— all others were in good shape. Overall, a nice unit, nice resort, decent location (realistically 20-25 mins to Disney parks), clean. Management never checked on us nor followed up, but did respond to maintenance issues promptly. Would stay there again. Thank you.

Great location

This house was very clean and had everything we needed for a week's stay. There was plenty of space and the resort area was very nice. I love that we were so close to universal studios and to plenty of shopping. Trying to get a hold of the owners about anything seemed cold and responses all seemed automated or pre typed, but they were quick to respond. Also parking in front of the house only allowed for 1 car for this 5 bedroom house, so if others are driving be prepared to park away from the house.. but at least it wasn't too far to walk. Area felt very safe and entering the gated neighborhood was smooth and easy. I would visit again.

Senior Trip

We were very happy with this property. The house was just as pictured if not better in person. It was very clean. It would have been nice for rooms to have ceiling fans and would have felt more secure with extra lock on door besides keypad lock. Neighborhood was overall quite and we had no problems. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Great place to stay with little ones

Almost prefect. Hard to get a hold of the property manager to address any issues. The pool blower was out and did not get any assistant to resolve. BBQ is non-refundable and hard to grill due to the policy of the 4ft distant from pool screen. So we end up not using the grill. Over all, the home owner was great to work with. They were fast at responding to my email. My family had a great stay there despite the issues listed above.

Rental home for family

We enjoyed our stay at Solara resort. The house was very roomy and the pool was great! We got the heat for the pool and it was a great add on. The vacuum they left us was in bad shape so we couldn’t use it and we did have to have them come finish cleaning after the previous guests. But otherwise it was great!
