It's known for its small cave monastery but if you head to this location a little over an hour outside of Chisinau, make sure you go for a long walk along the ridge. You can walk for 2 hours up here, enjoying sweeping views of the countryside below before reaching a couple of small villages where the local people will welcome you with smiles.

While visiting Orhei Vechi last week, here in Moldova, we came across this old well. I say it’s an ‘old’ well in the sense that it’s been around for a few years (to say the least). The coolest part is that it’s physically still in use as one of the sources of water in this living museum of a village! Orhei Vechi is by far one of the most interesting parts of the country we’ve been fortunate enough to experience so far! #Europe #Moldova #Village
