Dette uberørte privat hytte har vært i vår familie i 5 tiår. Vi er glade for å begynne å dele det med gjester. hytta satt frem av skogen, har uhindret utsikt over Lake Michigan sammen med 275ft. av stranden forside. Åpne bakdøren og det første du ser er en spektakulær utsikt over innsjøen. Det er to store skjermen verandaer med utsikt over innsjøen. Bruk en for morgenkaffen eller en ettermiddag lur, den andre fører til en overdimensjonert dekk med bord og stoler for bespisning og en stor paraply for skygge. Det er god plass for grilling eller slapper av i solen.

Location was outstanding, host was easy to communicate with, property was clean, very private location. Outside space is spectacular. There is a noticeable musty smell when you enter the property. Opening the windows did help with this. Comfort was less because for a small space it felt crowded with so much furniture to make it a 7 bed rental. 7 beds is a stretch with only one bathroom which is on the small size. Also the air conditioning should be more clear in the listing. There is no air conditioning in the main room and the air conditioning units are loud and make it difficult to sleep at night. The photos in the listing do not show the air conditioners.

We loved our stay here. The location was absolutely PERFECT. We will absolutely be returning! A couple notes to visitors:1. Make sure you know the passcode and wifi before you arrive - there is no service at the cottage. 2. There are no laundry facilities. We didn't stay long, so it didn't impact us. May be something to consider if you are staying longer.

Relaxation Guaranteed

Just wanted to get away and relax from the daily stress. This was just what we needed. Secluded and quiet, we were able to just listen to the waves of the lake, read, and walk on the private beach. The cottage was clean and had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay.

Amazing private waterfront stay

We LOVED our stay at the Pond Cottage! The cute old cottage feel and look with plenty of space for everyone to sleep and relax was great! But the outside and beachfront are what seal the deal! The beautiful private beach with amazing water and sand but also the overall privacy of the location was perfect. We enjoyed the beach all days swimming, walking, and paddle boarding. We even ate meals out there because it was just too great to stay away. The girls loved sleeping in the bunk beds and my husband and I slept great in our own beds in the private room on the other side! The cottage had everything we needed to be comfortable inside as well. We’re coming back next year and can’t wait!

Wonderful cottage right on the lake

Wonderful cottage right on the lake! Beautiful, big, sandy beach.We especially loved the screen porches that allowed us to feel like we were on the beach even while we were in the house. We had a rainy weekend but still enjoyed the beauty of the lake up close from the cozy screen porch. The property is quite big and there is a lot of space to the neighbor's houses so it felt very private and secluded. We were there for 3 days and saw a total of about 5 people, all walkers going down the beach. The host was friendly, informative, and very generous to give us a late checkout on our last day. We would love to stay here again! One note is that all the beds are twins, doubles, or fulls, so there is no queen or king bed for a couple to sleep in. Also the Wi-Fi is pretty slow, so I don't plan on streaming HD movies.

Perfect Getaway for our Family of 5!

The Pond Cottage is a true gem. We loved the proximity to the beach! Started and ended our day on the amazing the screened in patio with the sound of waves crashing. You can just tell how much thought and care is put into this place, from the cleanliness to the ample sleeping arrangements for larger families. We will definitely be back!

A Relaxing Getaway

The house was exactly as described and perfect for our group. The kitchen stocked everything you would need to cook and if dining out is your preference plenty of great places within a short drive. The private beach was amazing. We enjoyed enough space to set up a volleyball court and have room to set up lawn chairs and relax. My daughter asked if we could rent again and return next year!

Great summer getaway

Our family of 5 came to stay for a week this summer. The cottage is right on the lake and our kids had a great time walking down to the water and loved being able to swim to their hearts content. The cottage is a time capsule, with great modern amenities, that helps you disconnect and enjoy the time there. Practically new cookwear, sheets, towels - everything was great.

a relaxing break from the Texas heat

It was our first time north to escape the Texas heat and the Pond Cottage was the perfect place. The view was incredible, the screened in porch and deck were the two areas we spent most of our time. We practically had the beach to ourselves. We took walks down the road, saw deer and enjoyed the solitude. We saw lightening bugs galore at dusk. The place was comfortable and had everything we needed. Sure hope we are able to make this a yearly trip!

We stayed in July 2024 - there was a good amount of sandy beach . We loved having it all to ourselves for several days! This is the cleanest cottage I have ever stayed at. They seemed to have thought of everything! Amazing views of the lake from every spot. Loved it!

Wonderful place!

Stunning view, well outfitted cottage, and peaceful location. Highly recommend! The location is secluded, yet easy access to groceries, a bakery with delicious sweets, and a neighborhood restaurant with a dynamite breakfast.

Fuel for the Mind, Body and Soul

I needed time away for myself. I was feeling burned out at work and there was just a lot of stress in my life. I know I wanted space to think, read, write and be at one with nature. The Pond Cottage was just what I needed. It was cozy, quaint, clean, well maintained and just watching and listening to the waves was so relaxing and reparative. The pictures don't do it justice. The screened in porch was the perfect space. Walks along the beach and on the country roads were so nice to get close to different elements of nature. I already miss it and want to go back.

Private Beach Retreat

Location was unbeatable! The cottage is set on a sandy beach (soft & great for sandcastles) and set back in the woods with endless views of shore and lake so we felt as if we had the whole lake to ourselves. We were also close enough to Sheboygan to make a quick trip for things we forgot (and some really good pizza). Cottage was equipped with kid friendly furnishings indoor and out. Thoughtfully laid out and well stocked. Everything seemed new and fresh and very high quality. The screened porches were fantastic at all times of the day and even during a brief rain storm. Manager was easy to reach and check-in and check-out were so simple. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

White sand heaven on Lake Michigan

This is the cleanest, best-maintained vacation rental I've ever stayed in. Everything is in excellent condition and very thoughtfully furnished. The property is on a large expanse of white sand. You can't see any other homes and it feels very secluded. Incredible, nearly 180 degree views from the screen porches, living room, and outstanding patio with seating under a large cantilever umbrella. Comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, unbeatable access to sand, lake, and sky. You will likely see deer if up at dawn or walking the little gravel road in the evening. Attentive communication from property manager. It's not fancy, but so cozy and quaint. If you are looking to spend time with loved ones getting back to the speed of nature, falling asleep to the sound of waves, enjoying walks on the beach, campfires and stars at night, this place is a literal slice of heaven. Even the hyperactive child in our group was CALM after 3 days of playing in the sand, running into the cold lake, and walks down the beach. Everyone in our group including adults, teen, and child, LOVED this place. Thank you for a wonderful, peaceful retreat!
