Convenient on site washer/dryer in lower level is perfect for keeping up with beach wear and dirty laundry. Enjoy summer evenings with al fresco dining with grill, tables, chairs. Get the graham crackers, marshmallow, and chocolate ready to make your smores over the fire pit and enjoy the warmth of the fire during cooler evenings. Two off street parking spots available! Home comes equipped with mini split units in each bedroom and living room allowing you flexibility to control the temperature in each individual room. Outdoor shower to rinse off when coming back from a day at the beach.

We loved the fenced yard to keep littles safe. Traveling with our grandkids means having access to a washer and dryer and this was perfect. We were able to walk to most everything including the beach (our whole reason for going)!

Great Beach House

Check in was easy. Susan even texted that we could check in early if we wanted to. The house is within a short distance from the beach. It is a little longer walk to the Pier. I am 70 and walk occasionally so the walk was easy for me. My husband was able to walk to the beach but not to the Pier. My adult kids loved it as they didn't have to drive.We walked to the beach for fireworks and it was fun. We also played Mini-golf then went to the Pier for lunch.The Keurig and coffee pot was broken and Susan brought over a new Keurig/coffee pot combo right away. Not having towels at the place was a minor inconvenience but just make sure that you pack a few. Dishes, pans etc were o.k. I will stay here again if the opportunity arises.

Beau séjour, bel emplacement

À 5 minutes à pieds de la plage Moins de 15 minutes du Pier. Le tout se fait très bien à pieds. Nous avons apprécié notre semaine. L'endroit était très propre à notre arrivé. Endroit calme lit confortable on y a très bien dormi.La terrasse extérieure a aussi été grandement apprécié à notre retour de la plage.L'hôte Susan répond rapidement

Very nice home close to everything

We stayed in August this year and had a great time. It was a quick and easy walk to the beach so if my niece (1 y.o.) was tired, she could easily come back and it wasn’t a big production with everyone needing to leave or lug a lot of things back and forth. The house was clean and comfortable and there was plenty of room for all of us. The house was near the main drag where food and entertainment was plenty. My older sister and I also walked in the mornings and it was a beautiful area. Would definitely recommend!

Great dog friendly Cottage

We had a great time staying here. Our dog enjoyed the grassy yard and the early morning walks on the beach. The house was comfortable and great for our family of 5. We enjoyed the fire pit and relaxing after cooking on the grill. Quick walk to the beach and restaurants/shops too. Thank you.

A terrific stay near the beach

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. We were three couples, and found the location to be perfect - far enough from the action but close enough to enjoy it if we wanted. And only five minute walk from live lobster! The house was exactly as described. We did find that the kitchen lacked a few things, but we were easily able to get them from the host the very same day. They were extremely responsive. Indeed there were no bath or beach towels but we were a little surprised not to find any tea or hand towels, so be sure to bring some with you. A minor hiccup in an otherwise lovely place. The beds are very comfortable, but some hooks would be nice for hanging things to dry. The AC was quite welcome, and the yard is a wonderful place for a little downtime. We also really enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. We would definitely return with other adults or with families.

My husband and I stayed July1-8. We arrived about an hour before check in , 2PM, check in being 3PM, however, there was a car in the driveway which looked to be a cleaning person. Not a big deal, we came back a while later and we had a little trouble getting the back door open. My husband went around to the front porch and the door was unlocked. As we walked around the house we noticed that it wasn’t as clean as it should have been. We looked for s vacuum to use but there wasn’t one. The walk to the beach was a little further than i expected but not too bad. The first 3 days rained so we didn’t make it to the beach until Wednesday. One of the best parts of our stay was being so close to The Local. The staff at the Local was friendly and the food and drinks were great! There were also some missing blinds and no curtains anywhere in the house except for the enclosed porch area. Overall, the house was okay. Only 1 bedroom had a small closet, however, there were lots of drawers for our clothes. If I could make any suggestions I would say that the owners may want to buy a vacuum cleaner for guests to use (especially since it is pet friendly, which we really appreciated) and make sure window coverings are in place. Also they may want to talk to the cleaner or hire s new one. On another positive note, the beds we’re comfortable and the mini splits throughout the house were great.

Great dog friendly rental walking distance to the beach

This property was great; we would definitely stay again. The fenced yard was great, we enjoyed sitting on the Adirondacks enjoying some sun or shade during the day and around the fire pit at night. This property is new to the rental market in 2022, and the owners have done a lot of great work. I suspect the property will get better and better with time as the details are filled in. The house is redecorated inside with the exception of the bathrooms, which are ok but dated. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen pretty well stocked. There were even s'mores ingredients for us to use! A previous reviewer mentioned leaving a non stick skillet, but that had disappeared by our stay, so we bought one to leave behind. Check in was easy, and the host was always quick to reply and very helpful. The biggest challenge at this property for me was storage. There is one small closet in the house (in one of the upstairs bedrooms) and it did not have any storage system/rod/hooks, was just an empty space. We added a tension rod and hangers, but adding shelving or similar for towels, extra pillows and bedding would be a great help. There is lots of on street parking in addition to space for 2 cars in the driveway. All in all a great find!

Newly available rental could use more updating. New beds are comfortable, new bedroom and kitchen flooring is nice, house stays cool with new split units. Bathrooms are dated but serviceable, laundry is located in very dirty basement with steep stairs and no handrail. This is a very small house for 8 people to share even though there are 8 beds.

Perfect retreat for a week in OOB

Spent a week at the property in July. Most rooms have been updated recently and there was a new AC system which worked awesome given the 35C days earlier in the week. Easily housed our family of 5 and my parents. The lack of towels caught us by surprise but this was listed in the posting, just something we missed. Some direction to a towel/linen rental supplier would be beneficial. There weren't any wine glasses or a good non-stick frying pan so we picked them up and left them. Location was right in the middle between OOB and ocean park. Biked every morning to the Ocean Park Subs and Grocery for the best cinnamon Buns. Was about 8-10 minute walk to the pier. Very short walk to the beach. The family spent a lot of time playing around in the fenced in yard which was nice to have. Overall a very nice spot to stay in OOB, especially if you're bringing a pet.

relaxing beach house

Nice property, it is a little bit of a walk uphill on the way back from the beach, much easier if you have a beach cart/ wagon. The house was great, very clean. nice shady yard space. the driveway is quite narrow, once parked it is tight to open the car door to get out. But I drive a yukon, so may not be an issue for most. there are spots on the street in front of the house also.

House was very nice. Basement not what we expected. No closets and bedrooms small except for 1.

A little tight for 9 people. Everything was new and clean and served it’s purpose for our vacation. Bathrooms could be updated. We got to see Old Orchard area which was great. Market nearby which was good. Basement stairs needs a railing.
