«We were a family of six travelling and we had invited our daughters and their husbands for a long weekend in The Lakes. We made a mistake ordering standard rooms and it was disappointing that we were given a tiny room as the paying part. I guess that’s our fault. Location is perfect with free parking, the staff are amazingly friendly and the breakfast first class. The place needs a good clean and shine up. The garden and exterior looked as though they had been forgotten for the current season. ...

«Good clean room with adequate furniture and bedding.
Great breakfast and had two good dinners whilst we were there. Staff very polite and helpful. All in all a very pleasant stay and would certainly use again.»

«We had a wonderful stay at Victorian House. Alex was a fabulous host and nothing was too much trouble. They accommodated us being vegan and gluten free at breakfast and oat milk in the room. There were also surprise balloons and a card in the room for my birthday and a free upgrade which was a wonderful surprise. We definitely recommend Victorian House and hope to stay again »

«From the first welcome to the final farewell, it was a joy to stay there. Substantive breakfasts, pet friendly, old manor house setting with great views. Good choice of relatively local (less than 10 miles) public houses for evening fare. Already hoping to get back there when next visiting the Lakes, which start only six miles north.»
