Derek has all the kitchen equipment and gadgets you could need and the only minor issue we had was remedied in a couple of hours and was probably on our party to begin with. great neighborhood, great location, awesome place!!»

«We loved the house the accommodations were great. The size of the house was perfect for a large group. The elevator made things easier. There were a few issues the faucet in the kitchen needs fixing ,the WIFI was out for 2 days of our 5 days 4 nights with the service repair never showed up after several calls, some of the towels had be rewashed because they were wrapped in plastic still wet causing mildew odor and I recommend better cleaning service. «The house was big and beautiful. It was stylishly furnished. The views from the top floor and living area were fabulous. With all of the sliding doors and screens, we could hear the wonderful roar of the surf all the time. This would be a wonderful place for a family reunion or a group of good friends with or without kids to get together For a week. We were traveling with 8 littles and there were nails and broken outdoor furniture…we apparently rented during transition of owners and property management… took a bit to get answers but were able to arrive, get in and enjoy a wonderful week!»

«Home was well equipped. Kitchen cupboards were not cleaned need to be wiped out. Trash cans were full when we arrived, making disposal of our garbage difficult also increased the fly problem. Extra pillow cases would have been nice there were plenty of pillows just no linens also there were no linens for the hide a bed . Location was great. Views from the deck was amazing. The lay out of the house was ideal for our family.»

«Ocracoke in the early spring is always a treat and this visit did not disappoint. Red Beard's Retreat is a little gem one block off Hwy 12 across from the village Variety store. Our unit was comfortably furnished and check-in was seamless. We had everything we needed and the housekeeper, Maria, lived upstairs and was always available to answer any questions we had. It was obvious that much time and thought went into the furnishing and design of the unit. We plan to visit again next year and ...

«The property was super clean and the property manager was super responsive. First night was great. Super quiet tenants above us. Second night not so much. The tenant above us was super loud all night. However, that is not on the property manager. Just inconsiderate tenants. Overall, we really liked this property and would recommend it to others.»
