Oppholdet var veldig bra! De som jobbet i resepsjonen var veldig hyggelig og imøtekommende! Veldig sentral beliggenhet, men masse koselige butikker og spisesteder i nærheten!

Good hotel.
Good hotel. Good English breakfast, but does lack some vegetables to put on bread with cheese or spreads, or on side of eggs and hashbrowns. Thus could be more vegetarian friendly.

Bra beliggenhet
Alt i alt et greit hotell. Rommet var lite, badet likeså, men det var komfortabelt og stille. Ikke noe støy fra gaten, hyggelige folk i resepsjonen. Det lå nært flere attraksjoner, shoppingområde og kjøpesentre. Vil nok vurdere dette hotellet igjen, veldig rimelig og alt man trenger.

Midt i byen - bra standard på rom dog småtrangt
Har bodd her en gang før noen år tilbake, greit fornøyd med oppholdet. Dog vil jeg ikke anbefale maten på hotellets restaurant da jeg bestilte den dyreste sirloin/indrefilet biffen som dessverre smakte som helgebiffen til kiwi/jensen bøffhus i Oslo noe som er elendig. Rommene er små men av bra standard, dog er det veldig til knirking fra gulvet når man går i gangene/trappene osv, litt for lytt. Ok her hvis prisen er riktig.

Sjarmerende gammelt hotell
Hotellet er gammelt men har blitt renovert så bare utforming av rom og ganger røper alderen. Den gamle hovedtrappen er en attraksjon i seg selv. Rommet vårt hadde ikke utsikt mot noe annet enn venrilasjonsrør verdens minste bakgård, men det gjorde ikke så mye for type tur vi var på. Hotellet sier at alle rom er unike, det kan jeg tro. gulvet på hotellet var absolutt ikke i vater. rent rom, god seng og alright bad(dusjkabinet). Et bra opphold for oss.

I didn’t actually visit the place but the outside was very inviting due the work being done on the roof. Nonetheless I asked for refund and because I couldn’t cancel my stay due to personal reasons. 98 pounds is a lot of money.

I stayed at the Mercure, in a King room which overlooked the street and the bars across the road didn't stop playing music until 1am, which you could hear in the room along with every other road noise and wind whistling through the windows. The room was, ok, but needs some tlc..

Hotel photos or description is nothing like the actual. Advertises parking “on site” , the receptionist tried to tell me it means “on site at the nearby car park “. There is ZERO parking onsite. We arrived at the hotel and had been given an upgrade to a king room, which was amazing, the bed was huge. The tap in the bathroom was nearly coming away though. Would highly recommend the hotel for people going to arena as it's only a few mins walk away and also close to the town center and train station. The only thing really letting the hotel down was they were having work on the building completed which we wasn't aware of until seeing the hotel so was quite noisy early morning with the works taking place but would stay here again.

It's a bad sign when you arrive in your room and they have provided complimentary ear-plugs... Unfortunately, this hotel is right next door to a VERY loud bar that is open until 2 am at weekends. If you want to get to sleep before that, good luck! For this reason I'll never stay at this hotel again. The room was small and would be tight for two people. The decor was tired and quite tacky. The toilet seat didn't stay up - a simple maintenance job. The building is old and therefore a strange layout so expect to be confused and have to walk up and down random staircases to get to your room. The whole place seems a little old and unloved, not what you would expect from the Mercure chain.

The Mercures location near to a range of alternative shops, Rough Trade, cafes catering for plant based diets etc. appealed to me. Staff were pragmatic about the fact that nobody carries credit cards anymore, In relation to deposit at check in and are reviewing cards ntactless payment options. Hotel was cozy and interesting.

You’ll regret the stay. Don’t waste your money
Shocking stay at Mecure city centre. From arrival the service received was generally cold and difficult. I’ve never had issue with paying by Apple Pay before however this became problematic with the gentleman on reception. After routing through my bag to find the physical card, it was stated that he could just sort this manually anyway. Why this could not just be paid by Apple Pay I do not know! This is all minor in comparison to the stay itself, broken in to points below: Hotel lift not working but no communication of this. Thankfully on a lower floor, but beware anyone with accessibility issues! Hotel is covered in scaffolding and next to no view No insulation between rooms, you can hear everything. The worst part of the entire stay, the sound proofing or lack of from the outside road. I got less than 2 hours sleep each night of my stay. The hotel is located near a number of bars and clubs which have rowdy patrons until the early hours. Clearly single pane windows. The most concerning precursor of this was that the hotel had left ear plugs on the side table (which did next to nothing). This issue was tried to be raised to the hotel in the morning after the 1st night but no one available. I also mentioned this on check out and they just said it’s one of those things. In my opinion they should not be letting the rooms out at the front of this hotel unless they get appropriate sound proofing. Was due to spend numerous stays here and all cancelled. An absolute shambles

Previously this was not the case but we are now delighted to confirm this has now changed.The lift was out of order due to a guest misusing the lift. Naturally this was out of our control and unforeseen. The lift has been back and working many weeks ago but we do apologise this was not the case when you stayed with us prior to this fix taking place.We are located in the city centre and surrounded by bars and nightlife all around the hotel. A fantastic hotel in the heart of the action
The staff are welcoming and personable. The breakfast was great and the room was enormous. It's an old building and in the centre of town, so there are creaks and wobbles to be expected. The hotel recognises there will be unavoidable noise and provides complimentary earplugs without being asked. Nice touch. My only criticism is that the lift was out of order, which is an accessibility issue and should have been mentioned before the stay. Luckily I am able bodied but would have felt very annoyed if I wasn't.

The property itself was lovely, but we were put on the top floor whilst the lift was broken, which wasn’t great. The room was clean, but very small, and only had a small window, which was up quite high. The receptionist even apologised when she handed us the key. The property was located in the heart of Nottingham town centre, which was great. We stayed for 1 night, so it was fine, but any longer than that, I would stay elsewhere.

Poor Hotel
Worst hotel I’ve stayed in. For the amount paid, I would expect at least a room that is bigger than what I can only describe as a cleaning cupboard!

I’ve stayed at this hotel before about 2 years ago and it has seriously gone down hill and won’t stay again. Room on initial look, looked clean but when you looked closer it was filthy ! Skirting boards disgusting , bed base too! Lots if dubious stains. Side table hanging off wall. Blind hiding a filthy window. Shower tray and tiling grout need a deep clean. Had it not been for the fact that I was in a rush when I got to my room , and late back , I would have asked to be moved, but guessing if the cleanliness of this room was to go by, the other rooms must be similar . I just won’t stay or reccomend again.

Tiny cramped and not very clean room. So noisy from the street below. Zero parking and so difficult to access the from of the hotel via road due to one way system. A bad choice of hotel.

Naturally, the faster the fan speed you choose the louder the unit will be to provide the speed chosen.We do have a range of room grades at the hotel with our Privilege rooms and Suites being the largest. Tired hotel, very small and uncomfortable rooms
We stayed a single night at the hotel. Room was old and tired and very small. Toilet seat was broken and the mattress/bed was old/damaged that if you dared sleep near the edge (which you have to as it was a small double), it gave way and you fell of the bed. It is Christmas and we were there for a party but background noise from the bar below and outside was very loud and when that finished, there was a constant whining from something just outside the room to keep you awake. Staff were friendly enough and location is good but building is being refurbished so is covered in scaffolding.

The hotel is old, the floor in the room is not flat, you feel the different levels when walking, the bathroom is very tiny. The AC was on at 18C (December 14th)…and it take a few minutes to switch off.

Not sure we will be going back…
Hotel not a great experience, there was scaffolding all around it (not notified in advance) and constantly had to speak to reception - tv wasn’t working, no hand soap, not enough towels and the very small room was very noisy - when we phoned reception about the noise at 11.45pm we were just told it would be quieter in about 30 mins because of a venue next door. Breakfast was good but the hotel was not of Mercure standard. Not recommended.

Naturally we are unable to control the external noise from neighbouring businesses.Within each room a second set of towels can be found within the wardrive of the room. Our reception team are always available to provide more should any further towels be required.We do have a variety of room grades. I am sorry to hear the room grade you chose to book was our City Pad which is the smallest of our room grades. I can also see you were provided with a complimentary upgrade to the next room size above. The Standard King you received is still one of our smaller room grades but not as small as the one you had reserved. I highly recommend booking a larger room grade should size be of importance. My personal opinion is that this hotel should not be rated as 4 Star but is more of a 3 star. On a positive note it is centrally located for Nottingham City centre amenities and is a good base for exploring the City. However I felt our room was fairly basic and quite small. The decor had a bit of a 'tired' look and could do with being refreshed. The hotel is currently being refurbished on the outside so it may be that the inside will also be updated, We didnt use the hotel facilities for food so cannot comment on that. By far the worse aspect of our stay was the fact that a nightclub/bar is located adjacent to the hotel and we had to endure very loud music until 0200 each night which kept us awake..
