«Beautiful place .Great for walking .The only thing is the car is full with bikes and a dog and when leaving the property you have to take the rubbish bag with you to drop it of at the bottom of the hill which for the price I have never done this before »

«Angie is a lovely warm welcoming lady , nothing was a bother , only staid one night as was having a meal in the Fox Covert next door which is really great place , The cottage was a propped cottage feel , and could sleep upto 6 but was only the two of us , proper kitchen and shower n toilet was compact but everything you needed , lovely place to stay and will be back , also location is good for all local amenities and local attractions, Thank you »

«Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. »

«On arrival, getting the keys was a simple process, however, as soon as we got in, we could see the setup was unusual. Yes there are 3 "bedroom", or at least 3 separate areas with beds. However, one of them is a living / dining / kitchenette area, with a double bed in there as well. There wasn't any running hot water, even after asking the host, who said "you need to run the tap really slow", which we did for over 20 minutes - still cold. There was a modicum of heat in the water the next ...

«Lovely cosy cottage. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.We loved the wildlife and the spectacular views. So peaceful and a very short drive to Barnard castle. If I'm to be picky I would say a heater would be a good idea in the conservatory for colder months. The cottage itself was really warm. I can honestly say there is nothing to complain about.
