This is the oldest water balanced funicular still in operation in the United Kingdom. Doesn’t cost much to ride and the carriages are decked out with stained glass. There are some lovely views from the top out over the pier and coast.

«Amazing accomodation, Wendy the host is so welcoming and the Barn was perfect Ample parking, lovely surroundings, fantastic wi-fi . The accommodation is so clean and finished in a high standard. Upon our very late arrival Wendy was there to welcome us and provided a welcome basket and Prosecco. All rooms are superb inc bedding and towels and living space so comfy. Kithen is fully equipped and huge. Perfect for a wkd away or longer. Would highly recommend and will be back if we travel up North ...

«Very nice cottage plenty of room for 6 people and close to all local amenities. Beach is about a 15min walk away but not a problem. Harbour is just at the bottom of the road and plenty of benches to sit and relax. My only issue with all properties on this street/road not just this one is parking. You can literally park one car per property and then still have to ask people to move vehicles to get in and out. Other than that loved our stay.»

«We fell in love with this property and wish we could have extended our stay for at least a few more days, but we had other plans to move on to. The beautiful home is set upon a hill with amazing views of the countryside. We were able to really disconnect, and traveled to some local places to sightsee within nature, and into town for some dinner (plenty of options in the neighboring villages).
