«House is stocked with everything we needed for a several weeks stay - great home base for exploring the area. We especially enjoyed the front porch - sitting out and watching the sun rise, and the deer wandering the neighborhood in the evenings. A short stroll to downtown Decorah. Laundry on site was super helpful, and we had room for a couple guests to spend a few nights with us. Ten out of ten!»

«This is the perfect house to stay in! There are 4 bedrooms, two living rooms, and a large kitchen. My family had plenty of room! Not only is the house large, the outside is large, too. We easily sat 6 of us around the backyard patio table and grilled. What a pleasant weekend!»

«My wife and I stayed over the weekend on Feb 21. The unit's location was the perfect spot for our plans. However, we encountered a serious issue upon our 4 PM check-in. The heating system had been turned off, and the interior temperature was 37F. It took nearly 6 hours to bring the unit up to a comfortable 68F. «The house was very clean and comfortable. I loved the sliders to the deck. We had a wonderful view of the lake and we could see all the birds easily from the kitchen. The only suggestion I have is that either a sliding screen door is added or a screen that fits in the door frame. That way, you can keep the door open without letting bugs in. «Host was super responsive and helpful. We arrived after a huge snowstorm, and while others in our group had to dig themselves out, we arrived to shoveled and salted drive and walkways. Communication was clear and house is as pictured, always a treat!»
