Even without an amazing festival, Nkhata Bay is worth a visit for its stunning scenery. The area is about a 4-hour drive north of Lilongwe and has several lodges on the shores of the lake.

The west coast of Lake Malawi is treated to a stunning pink and gold sunrise almost every morning. Nkhata Bay and the lodges on its beaches is especially beautiful and worth the 4-hour drive from Lilongwe.

The property is has the benefit of a fantastic location, good staff and good catering provision. Structurally, accommodations provide a bare minimum, sparsely maintained buildings with poor logistical infrastructure getting to the rooms.
