'The Last Supper' Wooden sculptures at Nitra Castle
Nitra is the oldest town in Slovakia. The castle, founded in the 9th century, is situated on a small hill and protected on three sides by the river Nitra. The tower you can see is part of St. Emmeram's Cathedral, which is housed within the castle complex, along with the Bishop's Palace and the Nitra Diocesan Museum, which includes various religious documents relating to the history of Christianity in Slovakia, as well as archaeological finds. Full access to the complex is 2 Euros, with an additional 2 euros if you wish to climb the tower. #nitra #castle #slovakia
