«Check in was straight forward, and we were shown to our room. Room was clean and ready for us. After showering and getting changed , we went to the bar for a beer. Good choice of beers , and the bar staff were very friendly. Enjoyed our food there too. Breakfast was lovely , and we left feeling refreshed and well fed. We were walking the Sandstone Trail , so it was an ideal stop over for us. Highly recommended »

«The room/apartment was basically a bedsit in a HMO in an unsafe, dangerous area of the city. Immediately above a dodgy takeaway.
Mouldy shower, kids stickers all over the furniture, outdated and not remotely like the pictures. The photos in the listing are not for this property which should be made explicitly clear. The door for the bedsit had a 1inch gap underneath and we did not feel safe leaving our valuables in there whilst we went out. All sorts of unsavoury people hanging around the ...

«We stayed two nights at Pickmere guest house, and it was very enjoyable. The house itself is beautiful and rustic, and the room we got was spacious and tastefully furnished. Beds absolutely fantastic. Breakfast was very good with locally sourced ingredients, plenty of coffee and a quiet atmosphere. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Pickmere is kind of in the middle of nowhere, so you need navigation as he roads are not too well marked. It´s close to Knudsford, and a trip there is highly ...
