Helt ok hotell, med klart forbedringspotensiale.
Helt ok men litt slitt hotell, beliggende fint til ved elva som obs! er en DEL høydemeter lavere enn den indre bykjernen. Store rom med grei komfort, men 1) elendig rengjøring da vi kom på rommet (hår og støv på gulvet, urinflekker på toalettet, og gamle såpemerker på vask og benk), og 2) mye støy av personalet på morgenen med slamring av dører og utstyr - noe som burde være unødvendig når man har "ikke forstyrr" hengende på døra. Og dusjen var noe håpløs... Men for UK standard var dette greit midt på treet.

Staff were nice, room was reasonable, and stay was all that we required for the evening we were there. Food was quick and hot and everything was amenable. However, to be open, honest and transparent in this review, the room looked set for one person rather than a couple. (one packet of biscuits with the tea service, only one towel laid out in the bathroom (Had to source the other from the wardrobe) and the light only working on one side of the bed. The toilet is also so low that it feels like sitting on the floor using it. The bath was also so shallow that it barely covered the top of legs when full, and the soaps fixed to the wall were so far out of reach that they were not usable in the bath. (Had our own toiletries to compensate). The worst thing was that, when the cold water tap was on, it was so tight that it wouldn't turn off, and we nearly flooded the room before achieving this. Then, once turned off, it was effectively locked off and unusable again. I forgot to report this to the team on departure, so hopefully this review will assist. In summary. The room service teams do need to QC their own work, but the staff were solid, efficient, and helpful. The place just needs some TLC in order to support the team effort and energy.

The plus was free parking, within walking distance of city centre, provided you ordered and paid for breakfast the night before, it provided good value for money, and quality bathroom towels. Hotel is aged and rooms would benefit from a 'face lift'. Happy to recommend.

The only good thing is the location of this hotel. It's a four stars hotel but the person at reception didn't even ask me my name or welcome me when we arrived, simply told me it wasn't time to check in (which I knew) and made it seem like a favour to leave our bags at the hotel until check in (a service I knew they provided but was not offered until I asked). Then basically we had no other conversations with the staff. Checked in online giving them information they should already have from the booking via expedia and even got a check out link!! So basically it's expensive and there's 0 service. The location is the only reason to stay at this hotel. Waking up with the sun and seeing the river was amazing.

Great location on the Quayside. Parking onsite & good price for city centre. Staff attentive & friendly. We had club room located on 5th floor. Views of the river. Great size room and very comfy bed. Very clean & eveything you need for some time away. Furniture a bit dated but other than that a lovely stay. Have stayed in a few hotels in Newcastle & this has been best for location & parking. Would visit again.

We enjoyed our Saturday night stay. The room was large and clean with a nice view of the river. Parking was really convenient (£10) and the breakfast was excellent. Only a 10-15 min walk to the utilita arena. This our go to hotel at Newcastle.

The room on arrival was very clean. Lovely views. The pillows not the comfiest. It was a bit dated in the bathroom however nice hot water for a bath and shower. The hairdryer did not work, which did cause us a problem. Good facilities, such as tea/coffee, with refrigerator. Tv is a good size and quality.

Staff lovely and breakfast was good, but various parts of the hotel looking tired. Waste bin in the room hadn't been emptied from the previous occupant. The bath was pathetic. After an early start, a long drive and a long day I was looking forward to bath to relax. The bath was so shallow that when I got in with the water level near to the overflow, I was only partly submerged. I'm 6ft 2 and 16st, so on the larger side, but never had a problem with a bath like this before. It was like trying to have a bath on a tray. I ended up having a shower instead rather than the "soak" I wanted...

Comfortable stay. Disappointing breakfast (as add on to our stay). No labelling of milk eg, whole, skimmed, yoghurt also not labelled and no option for fat free. No option for poached eggs or alternative hot breakfast to traditional full English. Underwhelming breakfast and labelling would benefit. I would stay again but room only.
