Great location, close to both Central Park and Times Square. Excellent breakfast, but the hygiene govt authority check had not been very satisfactory a sign said. Feels like going back to a business hotel in the 90s, but kinda cool still a bit dated. Quiet hotel, felt also safe with a kid. Only problem was at checkin none of my credit cards worked but debit cards work, was working fine elsewhere in NY. Prepare for a rude and unhelpful attitude when trying a european credit card.

Our room was absolutely disgusting, hairs in our bathroom, room structure was falling off, they even left a razor from previous guests in the shower! Only gave us 2 towels for 3 guests. Electric outlets didn’t work. All of that for :450 dollars the night. Never staying here again

We loved this hotel, we could walk to Central Park and other areas, fast service, clean, and quiet. The room is big especially if you’re staying with children and family. The only thing they charge you $300 for a deposit when you check in I wasn’t aware of this when I booked!

The rooms would benefit from having a mirror located next to a light and an electric socket. The only motor with a socket was in the bathroom which was a problem with 3 women all trying to shower, dry hair and apply makeup at the same time!

Line too long for checking in and out. Need more staff when the line is long. No seating area at the lobby either. It’s tough on elderly waiting in line for 30’ to check in. WiFi doesn’t work in the room. It doesn’t need room key to get onto the elevator, a feature that most hotels have, and left me a bit unsafe.The room is spacious and clean. Staff not particularly friendly or helpful

The property is very nice but our room’s key pad malfunctioned and we could not enter our room. To gain entry we had to call security, which would take a minimum of 30 minutes. The door was never fixed so each time our family left the room we had to call security for entry; and after long multiple outings in NYC the last thing you want is to wait to enter your room. And the only accommodation offered were breakfast tickets. Very poor experience.

In 2011 my family stayed at this property. The rooms were lovely, the staff was amazing and the location was perfect walkable and convenient. A couple years back there were renovations going on here. Never did I expect the mediocre experience we had and then it got worse. Our “Presidential Suite” was lack luster and had several faulty items. Mirrors, lights, iron..etc… But most baffling was the room fit to accommodate 6 guest only had 2 blankets. When we ordered 3 additional pillows and blankets 1 pillow was brought to our room and told sorry we don’t have anymore pillows or blankets. And not to mention the custom decorations that i stressed on ordering and making sure they would arrive on time. They arrived on time But the hotel Held them hostage for over 6 hours… stating that’s the way their system works. Once package was received we secured it in our room and headed out for the day. Upon return I discovered the package had been removed with out consent. The package yet to be found. There goes the big room surprise for my Godsons special 15th Birthday.

The hotel is in a good location. Walking distance to a lot. As a Hilton member, I was expecting a little more relative to the upkeep of the room. Furniture needs updating and the bathroom is WAY…… too small. I had an executive suite and while we worked it out - I was just expecting more from this name brand.

Front desk staff unprofessional and rude especially Alexandra! I was told my room was not available and that they were fully booked. Accused me of booking same day which was not true. Althought the bathroom appeared clean there was an odor that was present in the bathroom from arrival to departure. I think the tools used to clean the room may have been the cause for the odor. It was not pleasant but since we were only there three days and there was a teachers convention we tolerated it.

BED BUGS. We found BED BUGS (which were identified and confirmed by a hotel security staff member) in our hotel room at the Hilton Midtown. Please please please reconsider booking with this hotel. What a nightmare!!! I have tried getting in contact with the manager of the hotel on several occasions regarding our horrific stay, but no response from him (William Z.). Please DO NOT stay here, you will regret it.

The hotel itself was good and the room was comfortable and clean. However, checking in was an absolute NIGHTMARE! After an endless line and a 40-minute wait, we were finally able to check in. In fact, the long lines to check in died down after 11 p.m. Also, the reception staff could have been a lot nicer. One of our keys wasn't working, but neither the concierge nor the front desk could issue my husband a replacement key because the reservation was not under his name. They told him to wait outside the room for a security person who would help him get inside the room. Well, that security person never arrived, and he had to wait for me to return to the hotel 40 minutes later so that he could use my key to enter the room. I don't understand how one can pay a ridiculous amount of money to stay at a hotel like this and receive no guest service whatsoever. So, if you find a comparable hotel in the area, check the reviews to see if the guest service is better and stay there instead. The summary: good hotel; horrific guest service.

チェックイン/アウトは長蛇の列ながら流れは早い。エレベータもほぼ待たずに来る。 ただし、部屋の設備は期待ハズレ、コーヒーもケトルもバスローブも無い。 最悪なのはベッドメイク、掃除はしてあったが、タオルが置いてない。シャワー浴びてから帰国しようと思っていたが気づくのが遅く諦めた。 深夜便だったので、タオルは要求せず19:00にチェックアウトしてJFKに向かった。 多分二度と選ばない。

Very clean and neat hotel. Extremely busy and crowded place. Some room decor could be updated and it would be nice to have complimentary water bottles at least on the first day. Their inhouse restaurant closes ant 10 pm so it would be nice to have late bites anvailable until 11 pm. Enjoyed the location.

The front desk staff was absolutely uninterested in efficient assistance to the very long line of guests. Several of them were inside Reception and only one helping Honors guests, NONE helping non-honors guests. When concern was expressed to staff, they looked very annoyed and did not even address or apologize to the line - it took us about 45 min to check in with only 3 people ahead of us in line. Booked two queen beds - hotel gave us one king and a sofa bed and said will send Bedding to room (for sofa bed). At 9:30 pm we had to go down, WAIT in the line again, and request the bedding which had not arrived at the room. The PHONE in the room was NOT WORKING so we had to go downstairs. Hotel gives a voucher for $35 day credit for using local restaurant per day. The final invoice had 3 dinners at Herb Kitchen, and only ONE credit, not three credits of $35. When error was pointed out, it was met by cold silence, not even an apology. Invoice was corrected, reprinted, and shoved to me face down, as if it was a huge inconvenience. Upon departure, Taxi cab that hotel hailed, demanded from us to pay in Cash or via Zelle. Proceeded to LIE that he started his meter late, even though hotel staff told driver which we heard - that there is a flat fee to JFK. Proceeded to DEMAND a Tip of $25, no less. Driving was awful, hitting breaks and having us slam against front seats and loud speaker blaring adjacent to headrests of back seat, windows wide open at 8:30 am to JFK.

We hope you will reconsider and give the New York Hilton Midtown another opportunity in the future.
