I am far from a stickler. I’ve always stayed at this hotel as a quick stop when visiting home (Brooklyn) for the weekend and it’s been decent. This time however has been horrible! I came to stay with my 1year old and arrived around 9pm after a long day and flight. I had a big suitcase, carry on, and toddler car seat. I was given a room on the third floor which upon walking in was clearly freshly used as there were ruffled sheets. Imagine my annoyance having to go back down to the lobby with all of my baggage and child. I was then given a room on the second floor. Initially it looked better than the other room until I went to use the microwave that had stale food all over the plate. I mean a lot! I later discovered while showering hair that did not belong to me. There also was brown stains on the shower ceiling. I was grossed out to say the least about how unsanitary everything had been upon being given a second room. I refused to stay there with my baby for a second night especially after sleeping on top of the comforter for the first. I wasn’t able to give him a proper bath after traveling on a plane which was highly frustrating for me. I came into town to throw a surprise birthday BRUNCH party for my grandma but the real surprise was me returning to my room and my key not working. ONCE AGAIN, I had to go downstairs with all of my stuff and a baby to rectify that matter which was pretty quick but still the straw that broke the camel’s back considering everything endured.
