This private oasis is conveniently located within the city limits, just minutes away from popular attractions such as Schlitterbahn, Downtown NBTX, Gruene Hall, and Landa Park. This two-story, 2500 square foot home offers a spacious retreat with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.

Edgewater Escape welcomes you with its relaxed and open living, dining, and kitchen floor plan. The well-appointed kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, ample counter space, and all the tools necessary for culinary creativity. The home's open floor plan ensures that every moment spent in the kitchen, on the deck, or at the dining table is filled with comfort, togetherness, and the joy of creating unforgettable memories.

Edgewater Escape offers a thoughtfully designed bedroom layout to ensure comfort and privacy for all guests. On the main floor, you will find a spacious king bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The en-suite bathroom is a luxurious retreat in itself, featuring a walk-in shower and double vanity sinks for convenience.

Upstairs, you'll find a California King bed in the first bedroom, providing ample space for a peaceful night's sleep. The second bedroom boasts a comfortable king bed, while the third bedroom offers two queen beds, perfect for accommodating larger groups or families. Additionally, the upstairs area features a second living area complete with a convenient kitchenette. This additional space provides a cozy spot to unwind, watch movies, or enjoy late-night snacks without having to venture downstairs.

The property was great for us. We enjoyed the convenience of the location. The house was laid out nicely to allow room for everyone. The children lived being able to get outdoors. The kitchen was fully stocked. The hot tub and pool were beautiful.

A/C excellent. Beds good. Kitchen good. Pool cloudy. Hot tub good. Nature and river excellent. Location excellent. Too many light bulbs out making using lamps impossible. 1st floor tv excellent. Upstairs tv inadequate. Good time BUT when you pay holiday rates, condition should be tip top: everything should work!

Extremely disappointed with this property, especially for the price we paid. Upon arrival, we found an active wasp nest on the stairs and ants in the bathrooms. We called, and someone came with a can of Raid, but the problem got worse. Ants were everywhere—even in our beds—and they destroyed over 100 worth of bakery items. We texted the property manager about this, and received no response.The home had serious safety hazards: broken tiles around the pool, overgrown and unstable stairs to the river, slick tile floors with no rugs, and very slippery bathrooms. A major slip hazard throughout.Several appliances didn’t work properly: toaster only heated on one side, grill barely functioned, and stove burners didn’t fully light—unsafe and unacceptable for this price point.This property was misrepresented, poorly maintained, and lacked proper pest control and safety standards. The lack of response from management made it even worse. I strongly recommend avoiding this property. Vrbo should reconsider allowing it to remain listed in this condition.

Great house and location

The house was very comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The location couldn’t have been better and the pool/hot tub were amazing after a day on the river. It does have an induction stove which is tricky if you’re not used to it but the grill was great. Would definitely come back!

Beautiful Property!

Beautiful home and beautiful views. The layout was perfect for our family with 3 bedrooms plus a gameroom with a kitchenette upstairs and a large master suite down. The location was great being centrally located to both Schlitterbaun and the Comal River.We had a wonderful time and hope to return. I would recommend this property.

Girls bday trip

We arrived, everything was as stated on the website. Place is beautiful, right on the water. Love the layout. The main staircase inside the house is very steep, it would not be good for older people to go up and down. House is very cool layout, spacious, clean, comfy, gorgeous views. We all had a blast. Beds are comfy too.

Great River property!

Wonderful vacation with peaceful comfortable and easy access location! House was perfect for a family of 4 and even more. Hot tub was a perfect end to the night and the dock on the river was so amazing for fishing and just hanging out! Easy access into town and so quiet at night! Will come back again for sure!

Had a nice family Christmas

This large home on the river was great for our family Christmas get together. Nicely maintained and decorated. We enjoyed making meals in the open kitchen and there was plenty of seating for eating, opening gifts, watching football and playing games. We did some fishing from the riverside dock and caught and released a lot of sunfish (in December!) The upper & lower a/c units were quiet and worked well. The hot tub was ready to go but we didn’t get a chance to use it this time. Our only issue was the only indoor stair to the second floor was a spiral stair that we felt was stable but very steep and not very safe-we bumped our heads several times.There is an outdoor uncovered stair to the second floor deck that is easier access if the weather is good and we used that for our luggage. Even so we would definitely use this property again in the future!

Great Girls Getaway

This was a great house for a girlfriend’s getaway/reunion! We found all we needed for cooking (but bring your own foil & storage bags). Coffee pots on both floors were a plus and the beds were comfy. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for us to gather and visit with a beautiful view of the river.

Issues with our stay

A few of the positives: beautiful, spacious, very well decorated, enjoyed the pool, barbecue, well surrounded with trees and shade. Also enjoyed all the numerous outdoor patios & fans. Negatives: address is incorrect on the Big tree out front. 522 so we kept looking for 534. The gravel is NOT red so with that and the wrong address on the tree was not easy find. Sheets on the master bedroom didn’t fit. There is no closet in the master BR. The stove burners do not heat all he way around. Only half way. There are tiny ants the kitchen. The shower curtain upstairs needs to be changed. It is filthy. The tub in the upstairs shower need to be deep cleaned. There was a half eaten PB&J in one oh the bedroom drawers upstairs. There are big roaches in the house, even in the drawers! Please add the stove requirements to your original instructions so people do not bring their food own pots. Some of the steps leading down to the lake from the house are broken. This is a hazard!

40th Birthday

It was super nice to just walk down to the river. We fished, floated and swam. The location is great. The chairs on the boat dock in the picture on VRBO are not down there. The little house in front of the house we rented was an Erie feeling. You have no idea if they are home, not home or watching you. The bathroom upstairs needs a curtain over the window not a piece of glass you can see through. The floor down stairs was not clean, the sheets on the beds are paper thin and roll off the corners during the night. 2 trash dumpsters were completely full and stunk severely. Thankfully they did remove them to the street and get us 2 more. There were a couple bugs inside. If you left your black 2 pc swim suit in the window seal, it’s still there yesterday 8/11/24. The pool had debris in it from the overhead tree which is to be expected and there is a Polaris but it never ran. We never got in the pool. Dont think I would rent this property again.

Family Trip for fourth of July!

This was our second time staying at this beautiful and relaxing property. We enjoyed every minute and we can't wait to return. The teens loved the pool and the adults enjoyed the hot tub! Access to the river was easy and nice. We loved that it is a quiet part of the river and we didn't have to float the entire river to enjoy it. Water level was perfect for us. We are ready to rebook this property for spring 25. The owners are very attentive and great hosts. We were able to check-in early for a small fee and it was worth it!

Edgewater Escape June 2024

The house was very nice. It was an odd setup with another house in front of it. We only saw people from the front house a couple of times - once getting out of a car and another time a couple of guys were standing at the side of the front house smoking. The inside stairs were treacherous (spiral staircase)and we had to be very cautious going up and down. There wasn't enough bandwidth (internet strength) to support multiple devices and all three tvs. Host responded quickly when we had questions. We loved the river access for swimming and kayaking/tubing (had to provide our own) and fishing. Loved the swimming pool and hot tub but again the front house had two glass sliding doors facing the pool that we couldn't see into but I'm certain they could see out. The bed configuration did not fit our group very well. We probably wouldn't return to this property because the cons outweighed the pros.

Great Property

We had a great time. Great privacy in the back. Great access to river. Fun but slightly ackward in the front where the pool, hot tub, and grill are. The owners quarters located next to pool. The owner decided to do yard work when we were there. I said “thank you for letting us stay” and she turned with no response. They charged for towels that I don’t recall them becoming destroyed. (Hoping it wasn’t from my group however they had another guest the next night) Guess I am used to hosts calling those expenses part of the service… especially after paying $1700+

Quiet weekend

We enjoyed our stay. When we booked we did not read fully and understand that the pool is between the front house and the rental property. It wasn’t summer so we didn’t get in the pool but it felt awkward. Also the driveway is not well lit. It was a nice quiet time. Lots of bed space! Good for groups
