I guess you can say you get for what you pay for. Inside the room is old and not so great. The air conditioning did not work. At first we had to call maintenance and then we turned it on and it did not cool. We were hot all night.

Joke of a hotel, walked into bed bugs, cigarette holes in sheets, no microwave, no TV remote, no comforter, and a broken chair. Hotel smelled of urine in every halfway. Staff has 0 accountability and is trained to escalate guest issues rather then solve them. I travel monthly for work and have never had such an horrible experience. Avoid WASTING money at this establishment at ALL costs.

The building looked huge from the freeway. Looked like a reputable place. Up close the building was run down. Dirty, graffiti all over. The parking lot was covered but there were homeless individuals inside. We asked if we needed a parking permit. We were told it was not We felt unsafe. the clerk checking us in was more interested in a karaoke event happening in the lobby than us. We got to our room and the noise from the freeway was so loud. There was a note on the door that we had to be gone from 11-3:00 because they were exterminating for roaches. they did not disclose this at check in we learned it from the note taped to the door. The room itself was clean. However there was no shampoo or toiletries in the bathroom. Something you just kinda expect. The bathtub was clean but the fixtures were water stained and old. The beds suited their purpose. The sheets smelled weird it might have been an unfamiliar fabric softener so I’d chalk that up to my own sensory issues. In the morning we could see light coming through the door frame there was a good 1/8 inch gap around the door. Now wonder the room was so noisy. We got out of the room and went about our day. We said nothing about the state of our room. We just went about our day. We received a phone call at 12:30 telling us that our stuff had been moved and that we could pick up our new keys when we got back to the hotel. I felt unsafe. It felt light a housing project rather than a hotel.

Interesting experience but to avoid if possible. We stayed there for five nights. The tissue/Kleenex ran out after the first night and was neve replenished. It is an unbelievable story that Front Desk/House Keeping did not have any more tissue/Kleenex. Every night we had to ask for towel and would get only one except the second to the last night where there was none. We were told residents keep taking towels. Who would take towels that are paper thin? Not sure if it is common now in the San Diego area but this hotel does have quite a interesting group of residents. In the middle of every night, we could hear loud noise from dirt bike drag racing, and loud colorful language, aka, swear words, being used by some residents having a discussion outside our room.

The staff was able to get me and extended family 5 rooms on the same floor, and they gave us keys just in time for a lovely sunset. The people at the front desk were so friendly on the phone and in person. We also enjoyed their evening of karaoke downstairs at their bar.

The bed covers has large stains on them. The AC didn't work, using the fan only made the room stuffy and increased the temperature even more . The were no towels at all, had to ask for them

A/C was inoperable my entire stay. Parking is cheap. Room is fairly clean but furniture and equipment is old.

Warm and uncomfortable
Room was miserable to sleep in. 3 tiny pillows for a king bed and the room was 77-80° all night long. I asked the front desk about the ac being broke and was told they disable it in the winter. Microwave was rusted and dirty and missing parts. Room otherwise was clean and the downstairs cafe was decent. They seem to only have one receptionist on duty at a time so multiple long waits to be helped.

This place is a dump. Drug addicts, Prostitutes and homeless everywhere. Not dirty, filthy disgusting. Road noise made ear plugs necessary to sleep. Roaches in the room. Air conditioning unit in room sounded like a jet engine, Changed rooms three times to find one that was quiet enough to sleep in. Only positive was the front desk clerk. That was very helpful with my displeasure. But ultimately things were out of his control regarding the conditions. Do not stay here under any Circumstances.

We were extremely disappointed in this stay. It was our first time, and we will not go back or recommend the Ramada Inn in National City. My friend traveling with me woke up with at least a dozen small bites on her arms and neck. We submitted a bed bug incident report through the manager Reggie, but we have not heard from Ramada Inn since. Other problems at the hotel were broken treadmills in the fitness room and a broken climate control system in the whole building. We turned off the room thermostat, but it still was so hot that we didn't sleep well. The inside temperature was at least 15 degrees warmer than outside, so we frequently opened the door and window for fresh air. Also, on both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, there was reduced housekeeping and the restaurant/room service was closed. The hotel did not warn us about any of this either when we made the reservation or checked in. We would have reconsidered other options if we knew. One reason we chose this location over others was because it appeared to be close to the public trolley stop. When we arrived, we found out that the walk to the trolley is an unsafe area that many locals won't walk. We paid for more Uber and Lyft rides than we had planned to avoid walking in the area after dark. If you do bring a car, the hotel will charge a daily fee to use their parking lot. Another reason we chose this hotel were the photos of a billiard table, which they do not have. The photos are inaccurate.

Things they DON'T TELL YOU!
Got see navy boats. Was on 10 floor. But no air/heat was working. Bed was hard, for 1 night. Shower was not great. But i did work. Thing you need to know; $250.00 hold on credit card, parking not free, $19.00 a night. Breakfast not free. $20 a person and taxes on top. So over you paying $500.00 one 1 night. Not in a Hilton, but not great model. Not sure we want to be back, got check out 11:59am. Haha!
