Unfortunately this property is in pretty severe disrepair to the point that the decks are unsafe. The biggest issue was that the top floor deck facing the ovean needs to be replaced. The railing is barely attached so even lightly leaning against it could cause it to break. We stayed here with 8 kids and realized it early in our stay when they all ran out to check out the view. The property management company sent a handyman out to do what he could but the deck would have to be redone to get even close to acceptable safety standards. There were also ants all over the kitchen and a terrible smell on the top floor that wouldn't air out. Most of the outdoor furniture needs to be replaced and is rickety enough that it was a hazard to sit in. The furnishings inside are shabby but adequate. With appropriate repair, maintenance and refurbishing this could be a great property. The layout is solid and good for large families but missing important basic safety expectations.

We had a very pleasant stay at Blue Paradise--all 17 of us. The 8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms were just what we needed. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and we liked the fact that the living area was on the top level of the house. The smooth walkway to the beach access was appreciated as was the pleasant neighborhood and the location in general. We had quick access to all that we needed.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Our family liked the larger pool and the short walk to the private beach access. There were a couple of small issues ( broken toilet seat, broken chair ) that the host fixed quickly after being informed.

Lots of balconies and short walk to the beach.

Stayed at the property with extended family, 15 total. Cooked all but one meal at the house and almost every room had a balcony. Large enough to give everyone space and it was a short walk to the sand. Good food and ice cream near by. Parking was great and enough room for everyone to park and get out when needed. Owner is very responsive with communication throughout the booking and stay.

Great location and Great communication.

The property was centrally located to go literally everwhere within a 15-20 minute timeline. Our extended family had a lot of room in the house and each bedroom having their own bathroom was the best aspect of the home. The communication with the host was fantastic, he was very responsive to our calls. We had a small number of issues like an electric outage or leaving behind a wallet. The host was very responsive. I would recommend this property especially for large groups.

Fantastic house and host

We recently stayed as a big friend group, many adults and our kids and pet. This house was fantastic. Everything was clean and as described in the listing. The host was very responsive to all communications, and when we had an urgent need for a household necessity they got it delivered to us basically within an hour. We got a bit unlucky with the weather during our stay so we spent more time at the house than we were planning. Good thing it has everything to keep our group of 4 to 40 year olds entertained: hot tub, darts, arcade machine, pool table, karaoke, theater room, TVs everywhere, and plenty of room to spread out when people desired their own space. The fact that every room has its own bathroom was great for our mixed friend group. Location was great, easy 5 min walk to beach, grocery store, and plenty of good food, and quick drives to lots of other fun around OBX. Would stay here again! Highly recommended!

Amazing stay!

My friends and I had an amazing stay here! The house is so spacious and allowed all of us to have our own space and be so comfortable. The living room is the perfect hang out space as well. The house is so conveniently located close to the beach. Great stay all around!

Great house for large family

19 of us stayed here, and this house worked well to accommodate us. The kitchen is well stocked, and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub, as well as the movie room and pool table. The property manager was very responsive to all of our requests/inquiries during our stay.

Great house for a family

There were a few hiccups but the owner was super responsive and got them taken care of to the best of their ability, the communication overall was fantastic! The pool and hot tub were the biggest hits, the projector for the movie room was a hiccup but after it was fully resolved it was also a huge hit! The house had a ton to offer, convenient and close to multiple stores, restaurants and many beach access points. I ended up bringing way more than I needed because the house was pretty stocked with kitchen and beach equipment. I would definitely rent from them again!

Terrific Week in Blue Paradise

While we had a few windy (but sunny) days, the weather was just about perfect the rest of the week for the beach. Getting to the public access entrances was made easier by the parking 'passes' that allowed us to load up a car with chairs and umbrellas and drive them to the parking lot right by the ramp to the beach. The house was perfect for our 13-person extended family; we loved the pool and used it extensively in the afternoon as well as for after dinner swims. We made good use of the grill by the pool, along with the theatre and lower level game room. The bottom line: we had a great week and I would recommend you try this location for your family's Nags Head beach vacation.

Great layout and plenty of room for expanded family and friends

Overall the house was great. It was clean, nicely appointed, and had everything advertised. I would give it five stars all around if it weren't for several deficiencies: -The grill was on it's last leg and needs to be replaced, I managed to get the burgers cooked, but most of the burners are shot. -The projector in the theater room was not operational despite troubleshooting instructions provided by host. -Ants. There was a massive ant colony in the concrete crack by the pool that had a path leading up to the hot tub and up the side of the house. Overall, I'm happy with our stay and everyone enjoyed themselves. You're a short walk to public beach access, and the house provided us with a great place to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday with family and our closest friends.

Amazing Property

Perfect location, Great House for the whole family!

We visited Nags Head for a wedding and stayed here with my family, including grandparents, cousins, and several young children. The location is perfect to walk to the beach, the grocery store, coffee, donuts, you name it - easy access! The house is well setup for multiple families and the kids really enjoyed the bunk room. We didn't spend a lot of time in the house, we were busy on the beach or doing wedding activities. However, the kids enjoyed playing pool and watching a few movies in the theatre room. We struggled to get some of the equipment to work, but had very quick responses from the property manager, Doreen! She was great to work with! The house came with a couple wagons and beach umbrellas that we took advantage of - they made our walks to the beach much easier! We wanted to use the boogie boards, but they were all broken, not a deal breaker for us as we still had a good time and our kids only wanted to play in the sand anyway. The weather was a bit too cool to enjoy the unheated pool, but the hot tub was a hit! We will be back to the OBX and we hope to stay here again!

Great place to stay!

Easy to get to the beach. Umbrellas and wagon were great access to have. All of the family liked the house. Alot of steps though for my 84 year old parents. We did enjoy the pool and theater room when we wanted to stay close and not go anywhere.
