«The Cottage and Castle is absolutely charming, beautifully decorated and situated in a lovely neighborhood of colourfully painted houses and As well it is anIt’s a real gem. However as we returned after an evening out the stench in the air from a soil, composting, wastewater and recycling treatment plant was overwhelming. I there is a solution to this as Chemainus is a charming town and the Cottage and Castle was exceptional! »

«Very disappointed with a few things. 1) the room had a very notable insect (water, beetle, things and ants and spiders) problem, likely due to the large gap under the door where you could see daylight. 2) any customers that book their room through Expedia or similar paying an additional $10 for parking. I don’t understand this practice, just included in the price or not at all, but it feels like a notable unnecessary extra charge. There’s no other parking in the area other than the hotel ...

«Oh boy...I greatly dislike writing negative reviews. While Chemainus is adorable, the location is fantastic and the exterior is a dream...this aint it. Mouldy drapes, a number of amenities were broken (electric fireplace, mouldy fridge), no wifi, questionably clean bedsheets. And (I have photos as proof) a white substance residue left on the counter next to the bed. I will say that the indoor jet tub was amazing! I swear I heard a cough below us at one point and noticed a little door that looked ...
