Explore the magnificent Great Barrier Reef and the enchanting Daintree Rainforest right on your doorstep as well as discovering the beauty of temperate table lands, historic walking trails within the National parks, freshwater creeks or relax on tropical beaches while uncovering hidden gems off the beaten track.

Trezise Cottage is a hidden gem that offers you a “home away from home”, ideal for settling in for a few days that provides the perfect escape and base from the hustle and bustle while enjoying everything this region has to offer.

The 96sqm (apx) Trezise Cottage is completely stand-alone and self-sufficient. Nestled at the rear of our 12,000 sqm property amongst our mango orchard, you will be surrounded by tropical & native gardens. There are chicken's (hens) and our "hostess with the mostess" friendly little Jack Russell "Jessie" on the property, you’ll wake up refreshed every morning to the sweet sounds of birds and local wildlife on your doorstep.

Trezise Cottage features a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed, wall-mounted smart TV, split system air conditioning, block-out blinds and plenty of storage for your wardrobe. There is a deluxe ensuite bathroom with extras and a European laundry with a separate dryer and clothes washer with full sliding mirrors doors throughout the hallway, plus ironing facilities and cleaning supplies.

The open-plan living/dining area boasts a modern kitchen with a dishwasher, stove cooktop, oven, mini fridge with ice tray compartment and all the little extra amenities you might need in the kitchen as well as a dining area, wall-mounted smart TV, three-seater lounge that opens out into a sofa bed and split system air conditioning. Oh, and don’t forget free Wi-Fi unlimited “Starlink” satellite internet and Netflix.

The open plan design opens up onto your own private outdoor alfresco patio featuring rustic old-growth timber posts, a comfy outdoor lounge dining setting and a weber BBQ. Perfect for watching a morning sunrise with a coffee in hand or enjoying a few sundowners in the late tropical afternoons looking out over the tropical gardens. Additionally, your own outdoor fireplace that is set under the magnificent native gum trees ~ if you happen to be visiting during our cooler months.

Guests are welcome to enjoy our swimming pool and shaded pergola, which offers the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy the day soak up the sun and cool off in the swimming pool.

As a guest at Trezise Cottage, you will have the opportunity to witness a wide variety of native wildlife during your stay. Keep your eyes peeled for creatures such as Wallabies, Lace Monitors lizards and various species of birds such as Rainbow Lorikeets, Kookaburras, King Fishers, Cockatoos, Curlews and Brahminy Kites... just to name a few.

At Trezise Cottage, we are intimately connected with nature, we have the privilege and blessing being surrounded by abundant wildlife and the natural wonders of our heritage right on your doorstep. Wildlife sightings are particularly common at dawn and dusk and the variety of wildlife sightings fluctuates according to the seasons, so be sure to take advantage of the cozy outdoor seating areas and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds you.

We would be pleased to have you share our piece of paradise, we are a local family with children who live on the property in the original family home. You’ll barely see us as the two dwellings are separated by gardens and fencing and you will have your own entrance and car parking. You may catch a glimpse of us as we feed the chickens or tend to the gardens, but other than that it will be on an occasion we will cross paths, however if we are nearby feel free to ask if you would like some local tips and advice.
