It was modern, well decorated, and the kitchenette was stocked with cooking supplies. The location was so convenient to town, and the check in/out process was easy and straight forward. «The house was exactly as described and clean. We had a small delay in one communication with host but they were very apologetic and responsive thereafter. The location was excellent; very close to the town center and trails as well as a nice neighborhood for extra dog walking. The gazebo was a beautiful place for afternoon reading, naps, birdwatching. And we loved that Idyllwild gave us the quiet 4th of July evening we needed.»

«It was a perfect little getaway weekend for two. Clean, comfortable beds in a cute, cozy cabin. We felt like we were in a tree house. Watched scrub jays in the treetops by day and bats under the starry night sky as the sun set from our vantage point in the jacuzzi. We didn't run into any hiccups at all. We were able to make the 3-point turn twice a day to park in our big Ford F150. A smaller car should have no trouble at all. We loved it. Wish we were still there!»

I was happily surprised to find a mini fridge and coffee maker. There is a working fireplace, which we took advantage of, as it was cool one evening. «We had a great, last-minute summer night in Idyllwild at this property. We wanted no-frills but clean, and we got it. Includes a nice deck overlooking Eagle Creek. The grounds are beautiful, especially at night with the lighting. Communication with the host was very easy, and Heather was quite accommodating. I plan to take a look at other properties on the compound for a future visit. But I would happily come back here.»

We noticed on the listing that the home was air conditioned and it die have 2 portable room air conditioners vented outside. It was extremely warm and a couple of box fans would have helped circulate the cool air. Other than that, we really enjoyed this property…highly recommend!»
