We got a spacious, recently renovated, clean room. Since we had some business to attend, we just dropped our luggage and went on our business.
When later in the evening we got back to the room, I finally looked at the bed. Though the reservation stated “queen bed”, it was hardly even a double. I travel with my husband, who is not a very healthy individual and has nightmares, so the sleep was terrible. I got up like a zombie and went to see the staff. The person on duty (there was no name tag) said that he’s going to contact his manager (later, the same person claimed he is a manager), and that he’ll get to our room to talk to us. Nobody bothered to come or call us. On my second trip to the reception, he said that he only has 2 rooms and they are “way more expensive,” and the bed we got is really a queen. I paid him the hundred he requested and moved to the room that has 2 “king” beds. Needless to say, these “kings” were the size of a regular queen bed. Something is off with their measurement system, I suppose.
My short vacation was practically ruined.
I still give the hotel 3 stars as its location is convenient, the place is clean, and the rooms/apartments have all you need for a family stay, like utensils, plates, and a skillet.
