«i have never rented a room where there is no front desk -- but it worked out wonderfully. i got txt messages with the codes to get into the room, etc. very impressed with how this all works. the txt messages were very prompt and i could txt questions or any issues i might have. very impressed. what makes the country lodge even more special -- is that right down stairs is the country kitchen restaurant! and it was fabulous!»

«Beautiful property, lack of response from hosts, no interaction at all was a bit disconcerting. The second room with bunk beds can get hot and would benefit from fans as there is only AC in main bedroom. The setting and patio were pretty and the location is fantastic for park entrance. I do not recommend getting there after dark. We did, unintentionally, and it was so confusing to find, there is no signage on gates or at property to let you know you're there. We figured it out but it was rough ...

«We love this place! You will not find a better location. Just walk right out onto pine street where all the restaurants and shops are. The units themselves are modest and dated but you’ll have everything you need. The king bed was so comfortable and my kids love the bunk beds. It’s not the Ritz but it’s our favorite place to stay in Big Bear for the easiest trip ever!»
