«A classic 18 century coaching in with Ultra modern facilities and Michelin level food the staff are really helpful and can’t do too much for us helping us tune our TV to ensure that we had ability to watch the World Cup games. The food is a different level to coaching and could be a Michelin star restaurant the court outstanding and the quantity very generous. «Really enjoyed our stay. Designated parking for the hotel guests. The staff are very friendly. Check in was quick and smooth. Nice and comfortable room. We had dinner in the pub and the staff were great and so was the food/ drink. Had very good night sleep and then a really good quality breakfast the next morning. Will happily stay again in future.»

«Wonderfully authentic Lakeland Inn.Our stay was peaceful with so many opportunities for walks straight from the door.Limited options available for dinner, would have appreciated more choices.cooked breakfast was very good but some yoghurt, fruit would have been welcome.Selection of beers at the bar was very good.The staff work extremely hard but we thought an extra member of staff would have helped to reduce waiting times at dinner and breakfast»

«The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular ...

«Hyggelig hotell/pub/restaurant med rolig beliggenhet. Kompakt resepsjon. Noen lave bjelker, og trange ganger. Greie rom med middels komfort. OK bad. Meget bra frokost. Bra parkeringsplass. God service i pub og restaurant, god mat og bra utvalg. Dårlig wifi, og ingen dekning på mobilnett.»

«Only small gripe was the shower head had a bit of black mould on it and one roller blind came away whilst I was closing it. Luckily my husband was able to clip it back in quickly. Room and bedding both clean, grounds beautiful and well maintained. Breakfast was fantastic, quality hot cooked breakfast and very pleasant staff. We would visit again, thank you.»

«Typisk engelsk i flotte, landlige omgivelser. Hyggelig betjening og et greit og stille rom. Trivelig utendørsområder for å slappe av i. Generelt god mat, men forkosten var sparsom. Synes heller ikke noe om at hunder skal spasere rundt i restauranten når man spiser middag eller frokost. Men det var stilen.»
