«We had a lovely two night stay. We booked only 48hrs before our visit so we had the last available room, which had a wonderful garden view and although it was smaller than we anticipated the fun of watching dozens of garden birds on the many bird feeders outside our door and also seeing tiny shrews playing and jumping in the late evening was wonderful. Breakfast was pre booked and excellent and our hosts happy to help at all times. We would definitely return.»

«Fantastic service from the owners, they made us feel very welcome upon arrival. The beds were super comfortable and that was coupled with a great view. Lots of little details which added character to the room and gave it a homey feel such as small ornaments. The breakfast was lovely, a large selection of cold meats, pastries etc even though it was only us staying. Only a 10 minute drive to Newtown so it has everything you need.»

«New management has made many upgrades to the property. This was the first time I visited, so I didn't miss the old quirks; I found the place delightful. The Snug is a lovely lounge with wood-burning fire that was great for a cold night. I'm sure the outside tables would be lovely in warm weather. The location right next to the footbridge is charming. I stayed in room 2; the bathroom was a bit small and awkward, but I understand they have to work with the structure that's there.»
