«This was a short-notice trip to Queenstown. I arrived after the official reception closing time, the gentleman who owns the motel was still waiting for me to arrive before closing down for the night. The service and facilities were excellent. I felt welcome. There is a restaurant at the motel, I did not try it due to my schedule. The motel is located in a residential area within walking distance of Queenstown city center.»

It would have been much more inviting if the hosts had the heater running prior to our arrival, but once the property warmed up after a few minutes the shock of how cold it was faded away. «Amazing, quite unique, hotel floating in the middle of a lake with snow capped mountains in the backdrop, picture perfect. BUT that's it. There's really nothing else to do here, as you rely on food SOLEly provided by the hotel and there's no other external sources for food being so remote and the portions are small so pack some snacks, instant noodles. Aims for some fine dining vibe, but the quality is sub-par, may be due to meals being included in the price. The food alone would convince you ...
