«Small but very comfortable twin room with ensuite. Loved the big bath sheets. I would have added a second side table and perhaps a chair or luggage stand. Nice lounge/breakfast area, with plenty of fridges to store food/snacks. Comfortable couches and good sized TV. Very close to bus stop and only 10mins to Durham so we were able to just park the cars for the weekend. Hosts were very nice. »

«Brunswick House is a beautiful B&B which is the perfect mix of homely and modern. It has absolutely everything you might need, including an amazing breakfast selection all cooked fresh! The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, and it was great to have a parking space (it is a tight alley to get to the car park just be aware!)»

«Stayed here while walking the Coast to Coast. Small independent hostel with cafe. We had a 2 person bunk bedded room. Clean bedding. Towels available to hire. Self catering facilities. Arrived after the cafe closing time but instructions were left on the door and we soon had a welcoming phone call. Access to cafe with Wi-fi and TV and honesty box cakes in evening. «Cute little cottage in a quiet little town, down a little side street away from the main road, suited our needs. We stayed n December so the cottage although small took a fair time to warm up , underfloor heating downstairs was nice but the fire needed to be on aswell to heat the cottage toa decent temp. «Property needed a deep clean. I sneezed a lot and had black dust come out of my nose. Heating didn’t work sometimes and the room was quite cold. «The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay.
