We had paid to upgrade our room to a "Deluxe Garden View room with a "Queen" size bed. Unfortunately the was dark and had very few windows for the garden view. The room was finished with period antique furniture but that also limited the size of the bed to a double at best, and the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. The shower water pressure was very poor and not enough to rinse shampoo out my hair. The service in the dining room was slow and there were errors on our bills at the end of eating there. The front desk ran out of bottled water and suggested we walk a couple of blocks to the 7-11 or OXXO to buy more bottled water if we wanted it. If you wanted to buy drinks at the garden bar one of our travelling companions was told they needed exact change as the staff didn't have any change. The valet parking worked well albeit is was confusing at first.
The hotel has a distinct period feel with an excellent atmosphere. It could be so much better but needs allot of work to get there. Location was great and only 2 blocks to the central square making it very walkable.
