Pros: Great area (Parque Lleras), walking distance from good restaurants (like Modongos) and clubs (like Gusto), good sized rooms, AC every room, lock boxes in every room, showers with warm water, Direct TV with multiple channels (English and Spanish), Washer/Dryer on site to do laundry, great staff, 24 hour security, clean
Cons: Some rooms do not fully lock or need the doors fixed, toilets flush at a lower speed (do not use excess toilet paper), WiFi can be flaky at times in the rooms (use the living room/Kitchen Area for the best service), Pool water is cold-- can be warmed up but will make the showers cold, stairs to the roof are steep (be careful going up and down), Price of some services are expensive-- do not accept upfront costs (always be willing to bargain [in Spanish] for what you want)
I had a great time at the MYNT and we enjoyed the space and area of Medellin that it exists in, but I do have some suggestions on improvements to make it a true 5-star spot: 1) WiFi - the wireless service should be solid in every part of the house-- there are areas near the roof and near the master bedroom that need dedicated access points, 2) Room placement - specifically speaking about the room near the front door, that room is dark and damp with no windows, so it should either be converted to the security headquarters or given a gated window so air can flow through it properly, 3) Lock Boxes - Should be securely nailed to the wall in all rooms (some are loose), 4) Closet/Hanger space for clothes - All rooms should have this (some smaller ones didn't), 5) Showers - ensure water does not flood into the bedroom (some rooms had this problem)
Overall it was a good experience that I would do again for another bachelor party (I am the Groom this time), as long as they continue to make enhancements and improvements to the spot.....make sure you save up money (spending money as well), but you won't regret it when you do...Arturo and his assistant are always available to help (which is important)
