«Great hotel, bar and restaurant with friendly and welcoming staff, and excellent service throughout our stay. Room was clean, well equipped, comfortable and modern. It would have been nice to have had the heating on when we arrived but appreciate that we’d recently had a change in weather. Bar has wide selection of drinks and food is excellent. «Lovely comfortable rooms with lovely big beds we stayed in room 5 which is absolutely massive with a nice very clean bathroom. Nice warm welcome and really friendly staff with great service. Overall highly recommend staying here as ideally placed to visit the nearby aqueduct plus Snowdonia is just over an hour away.»

«The location is convenient for occasional visits to family members living nearby. Dinner was very good, and I was fortunate not to have to pre-book. On the downside, my car suffered damage (probably from an inconsiderate parker) during my visit, not noted until I had left, so I cannot be entirely sure where it occurred. However, parking bays are not marked. Of course one can't be confident that a poor parker will be honest about any damage, but it leaves an unpleasant taste.»

«The rooms are very comfortable, once you have passed through the hallway. The inn was quiet in the evening and convenient to the Iron Bridge and to the Bedlam furnaces. There are more nice walks across the river. Both the evening meal and the more-than-full English breakfast were excellent! »

«An area of the bedroom carpet was very wet and we had to stand on it when accessing the wardrobe and when passing through the door. This was especially unpleasant during the night. The carpet showed no signs of drying out so the possible cause was a drainage leak from the adjacent shower room. The communal rubbish bins, located in the car park directly below the flats were overflowing with bagged and unbagged household rubbish dumped in many areas. It was likely that vermin would be attracted ...
