«The location was great with a view of the harbor and the lift bridge from the room. It was a short walk across the lift bridge to Canal Park and good food, museums, and shopping. We went to the Great Lakes Aquarium, the William A Irvin ore ship museum and walked along Lake Superior. The buffet breakfast was great and everything was clean. This was a wonderful place to stay.»

«The rooms were clean. This hotel thought through how many outlets people typically need and it was refreshing. I don't have to bring my own power strip. The hotel is located in an ideal place, right off the freeway but just outside the crowded downtown area.»

«It's not the HI Express. Parking was plentiful in the ramp across the street. You walk to find breakfast, but all the shops were good (except the bakery-that was excellent!!). Canel walk was close enough, but you will be tired after walking all day. The room we stayed in had character-dark walls, the walkin glass shower had stripes like a cage! We'll probably check it out the next time we visit Duluth.»

«The room was charming and welcoming and beautifully appointed. The location was fabulous with the ability to go for long walks along the lakefront a few steps away. I didn’t receive check-in instructions and had to call for those when I arrived but the staff were super helpful and even got my room ready early as the weather was dreadful and I had my dog with me. It was a lovely place to stay!»

«Virtual staff was super helpful and pretty responsive to all my questions and concerns. A lot to do in the area and less than a 20 minute drive anywhere. Only thing is if you’re a light sleeper bring an eye masks, ear plugs and your own blanket. Love the natural lighting the rooms get but if you’re wanting to sleep in there aren’t any black out curtains and walls are very thin, you can hear everything and the blankets that are provided are pretty itchy and thin. «The reason I gave only 3 stars for the staff is because the house keeping staff did not seem to care about getting rooms ready for the next guests to checkin. They wouldn’t respond to the front Forest to see if rooms were ready. It to the general manager showing up to get them to work harder. We waited 3 hours after our checkin for our room to be ready as did many others people. The front seat people were besides themselves! «Stayed one night so didnt experience a whole lot but the sleep between the three of us that stayed were all terrible. The AC unit is older and super loud. It kept us all awake through the evening waking us up every couple hours.»
