«A nice house with ocean view was proposed. We got a house with a huge orange wall right in front of the sea. No view. House was not clean. More than half of the lightbulbs were not working. Stove and oven not working. Could not open the bedroom access to the balcony, door was in bad shape and full of crap. Not at all what we have paid for. «Great views and a relaxing time was had at this comfortable sea side duplex. We were the only renters so we had the whole yard and pool to ourselves. Bob was an excellent resident owner host and the support staff of Maria and Ilariao were perfect and there when we needed help. Getting to Michi was an adventure especially at night and at the end of Mardi Gras...the road and the citizens were a challenge. «Jim was a great host from the start. Super friendly, accomidating, always ready to give recommendations, arrange anything I needed. Jim is just a great host and a lovely guy. The place itself is in a beautiful remote location right on the sea front with its own pier. The house is just outside of the small town of Jose del Mar. It can be quite the adventure to find the first time and would recommend a 4x4 if driving. But Jim will happily guide you in. The nearest mini supermarket is a 20-30 ...

«Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. The unit is modern and clean. There were a few minor issues. We would have appreciated having a role of paper towel to be provided. We forgot to get one and it is quite a drive to the nearest grocery store. There was a vent in the ceiling, above the front door, that was dripping water on the floor.»

«Rachel (the property owner) is the BEST! The car I rented couldn’t get up the steep driveway and she was there immediately to offer help. The views from the house are spectacular. We spent most of our time outside because there is a nice breeze off the ocean. I can hear howler monkeys. »
