Very comfortable large home for winter stays.
Very comfortable premises although very hot and stuffy in summer. No airconditioning or insect screens so be prepared with plenty of insect repellent during summer months when you need to open windows. Large home with plenty of rooms. Would recommend during winter months using the fireplace.

Amazing house with plenty of space, perfect for families to stay in together
We had the most amazing stay, so close the the Maleny township (just around the corner) Plenty of space, and a really nice outdoor area with large table and chairs to accomodate a family of 12. We stayed for a week at this beautiful house and have never stayed in a place where almost everything was provided. A really thoughtful place that allowed us to relax and spend quality time with the people we love. Would 100 stay here again.

Spacious
Big and spacious house suitable for a large family. The house needs a good deep clean and the BBQ needs to be replaced. Two en suite bedrooms upstairs a bonus.

Property was not that clean and a bit run down. There were cobwebs behind doors and dead insects on kitchen counter. and BBQ was unclean upon arrival. As we washed up each night we did not use dishwasher. On last day went to put dishes in dishwasher and discovered that’s were forks etc were as it hadn’t been unstacked. Single beds uncomfortable and on wheels so rolled around l. Very spacious property, with lovely views from front, but would most likely try something different next time.

It was a family occasion. The house was big enough to accommodate us all. The grounds were good for the kids to play. The rooms were spacious and we didn’t feel cramped and the beds were really comfortable. It was good to be able to communicate with the host by message directly

So spacious!

Big house for large groups
Great house which was nice and large for our family friendly catch up. It had plenty of space and was in a beautiful location. It needed a good clean as It was very dusty and had lots of cobwebs. If it had a good clean I would not be able to fault this place.

What a propery. Just so beautiful and welcoming. Very homely and so much space for us 9.
Definitely recommend staying here with all the space and bathroomssss and such a great location. Close to all area. Just walkin and everything is in abundance for our use, that doesn't often happen, so thankyou. You have thought of everything.

Perfect for a group
Beautiful and spacious house, with multiple living areas. Kitchen well stocked with more than sufficient plates, mugs, cutlery, etc, as well as cooking utensils. Fridge space was on the small side considering the house sleeps 12. Lovely grounds, privacy from established trees, and a lovely view from upstairs.

A taste of country grandeur
We loved our stay and really enjoyed the lived in and well loved feel of the house. We had photos on the grand staircases and loved spreading out in various living areas depending on what time of day and vibe it was. Everything we needed was provided and mostly in good clean condition.

Awesome experience
The house is even more impressive than the listing photographs. It is massive and beautifully furnished with everything you would ever need for your stay, plus plenty we didn’t get a chance to use. The property was very clean and presented impeccably. I can’t rate our stay high enough.

Lovely house/property for group stay
Our group of friends and our kids had a lovely time staying at Gillandrea after new years. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone and a very well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the big grassed yard for some slip and slide fun and the big house for a big game of hide and seek. My only negative comment would be that the lawn maintenance person turned up mid stay and spent a couple of hours mowing the lawn, disturbing the peace and quiet somewhat.

Mansion in Maleny
We had a lovely experience renting this lovely old home. We were a large family group of adults and children visiting for a family wedding, and needing a lot of bedrooms. We stayed for two nights. There are 4 bedrooms downstairs, 2 on each side of the hallway and opposite each other, 3 with double beds and one with two singles. These two sets of bedrooms each have a door joining them (non-locking), and one set also had a large window in between with a sheer curtain. These share a large bathroom downstairs. Upstairs are two with ensuites, the master bedroom absolutely enormous. There is a large lounge room upstairs, and two downstairs, as well as a large formal dining room. As well as being being large and stately, this beautiful residence has everything we needed for our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great location and beautiful surroundings
The property has a greenish courtyard with a beautiful outlook. The location is convenient and close to many landmark places in Maleny and nearby Montville. The property owner has a good stock of amenities, books, board games as well as video games provided. The only issue is that some appliances don't seem to work ; the range hood has light but the fan is not working, and the dishwasher doesn't work all the time. Linens and towels are plenty and all beds are clean and comfortable. It will be nice if more attention can be paid to clean up spider webs at staircases, furniture and clothesline outdoor prior to guests arrival. Overall, we have enjoyed our stay at the property. It suits our need to accommodate family members from interstate and overseas perfectly. Thank you

Gillies Getaway in Maleny
Wonderful experience from start to finish! The house is a real grand old dame and perfectly decorated for the period of the house. But what took it to the next level of awesome were the personal touches... the freshly picked hydrangeas in a vase on the diningtable, the jar of marshmallows next to the fire for toasting, the exceptionally well equipped kitchen, bubblebath for the kids bath,and the cherry on the top was the biography written by the family patriarch, Ted Gillingham, which was left for visitors to read and gave such a lovely insights into a family history and an era gone by. The configuration of the bedrooms worked really well for the extended family of 6 adults and two little ones. We attended a wedding at Maleny Manor and it was so convenient to be only 6 minutes down the road. A delightful visit all round!Thank you so much, and we will definitely be back to explore the beautiful surroundings more.

Great location
We had great weekend. The property was large enough for us all and is in a wonderful location. Very close to Maleny and also to the national park. Comfy beds and hot showers. One tip ... it was very cold, as you would expect in the mountains in winter, and so be prepared if you visit at this time. The fireplace did not work properly when we were here and we had to rug up!

Close to everything, the perfect place for my daughter’s bridal party to prepare for her special day. Clean and well equipped. However, as others have noted, a lot of light bulbs not working, and only 2 of the 8 smoke/fire detectors were working. Did not feel safe to use the fireplace.

Very roomy house and great location
Great house with multiple living spaces and big rooms, nice and cosy, great for bigger group or family. Check in was easy as, house located close to the town centre but with quiet neighbours and great view. There were a few bulbs not working, oven signs were worn out (so it took a while to work out), but other than that that was a pleasant stay. Thank you for having us. 🍂

Very pleasant
Hard to beat this house for size and location. Great for a large group, very close to the lookout and restaurants with amazing views, and the bird park and the dairy. Huge yard for kids to play. We actually hosted a murder mystery night in the front parlor. Could use new pod machine and fly screens.

Our stay was ok and was big enough for 12. Nice location. Disappointed there are no screens on any opening windows or doors so had to keep them closed to keep the bugs etc out. House needs a deep clean. Cob webs, dust everywhere. Eye lashes on the main bathroom vanity and house had an awful strong musky smell when arrived. BBQ was filthy and hadn’t been cleaned and a broken chair had been placed on the deck setting which collapsed. Oven also needs to be replaced. I sent an email to the owner over a week ago regarding some of the above however to date haven’t had a reply. There is also no undercover parking for any cars.

Giant house great for getting together
Beautiful house and gorgeous area. Shamed it rained the whole 4 days we were there, but there was plenty of board games, etc in the house on offer. The host was quick to respond after the weather took out the nbn. Two of the bedrooms (two single beds and the fine bed bedroos) have a open pass through window which was not in the description and was quite strange. Love the high ceilings and openess of the property.

This property is gorgeous and the grounds are absolutely stunning and very well maintained. Very close to wedding venues, perfect place to get ready on my big day. Would definitely stay again. My only recommendation would be to put up a thicker curtain between two of the guest bedrooms downstairs as you can see in each other’s rooms. Other than that the place is great.

The only complaints - the BBQ had not been cleaned from the last tenant. A little disappointing. The deck and the table on the deck need a good clean. It was quite sticky in places. Inside was very clean.
