Stort sett fornøyd. Hotellet var sentralt plassert og rengjøring på rommet var god. Frokosten var enkel og grei. Kjøleskapet var imidlertid helt ubrukelig og vi hadde en del problemer med oppkobling til wifi. Hyggelig personell.

Fint hotell i Lido-området
Veldig bra hotell med kjempeutsikt over havet (om du velger det). Stort rom med to lenestoler og kjøleskap og tregulv (føles så mye renere enn teppegulv). Fliser på bad. Romslig balkong med to gode stoler og bord og kjempeutsikt (bodde i 11.etg/øverste). Romservice/håndkleskift hver dag. Hotellet ligger i et bratt område med en del trapper.

Clearly old hotel with broken amenities, the water from tap goes anywhere but the washbasin. When I raised it twice to the reception, they just ignored it. Average breakfast, worst coffee in my life, unpleasant staff

Unfortunately, your review is not correct. as a first point, very unfortunately, we are unable to place photos of the condition of your room on a daily basis. We have indeed verified your room at the time of your complaint and nothing was found broken besides all the mess your left room on a daily basis. So, we are sorry, but we never ignored your comment at reception and our pictures would prove exactly the other way round. We never had guests leaving room in the conditon you left!

Foi muito difícil chegar ao hotel, pois quem segue por transportes públicos não tem muita informação através da estrada monumental. Depois de chegar estivemos mais de uma hora à espera para fazer check- in. Infelizmente estavam uns clientes demasiado "chatos" que não deixavam a recepcionista atender outras pessoas. Estava com pena da pequena Vanessa, foi extremamente prestável com essas pessoas mas a fila de outros clientes fazia-se sentir. Outros já a reclamar. Não notei qualquer ajuda de superiores para a conseguirem atenuar esta situação. Mais de uma hora depois chegou a nossa vez de fazer check-in. A VANESSA super agradável e sempre com um sorriso. Eu não teria tido a paciência dela com os clientes anteriores. Parabéns pelo profissionalismo dela. Chegando ao quarto nota-se que está envelhecido, muito sujo, os cortinados parece que não são lavados à alguns anos. Grelhas de ar condicionado com bastante pó. Torneiras velhas e sujas. Manutenção mais aprofundada será necessária. Pequeno almoço no primeiro dia como fomos cedo tivemos alguma variedade, no segundo dia fomos mais tarde já se notava falta de reposição de alimentos quase notei que estávamos a comer os restos dos outros.

Lovely short stay in very good hotel
Lovely hotel in excellent location. Very friendly and proficient staff. Very good value. Views over the Lido area of Funchal and the Atlantic amazing. Room spotlessly clean although a little dated. Could have done with a kettle.

We are delighted you truly apreciated the room upgarde from the most basic cheap one to a Superior Sea View. For one night stay, we are sorry for your points, but roach in the room in this season? ok.... if you say so. Dirty floor when cleaning is one of the highlights of the hotel? Strangly, if this was as such, why did you not request or complain at reception? We know what was wrong which ios not at your benefit to mention here. Thank you for your visit

Aniversário com vista surpreendente!
Foi maravilhosa!! O hotel foi muito carinhoso em me oferecer um mimo para dia de meu aniversário. A vista do quarto é lindíssima!! Penso que a limpeza pode ser melhorada. Também a posição do chuveiro trocada, pois ao tomarmos banho, molha-se o banheiro todo. Já me hospedei no Muthu de Albufeira e a limpeza era excepcional. No geral tudo muito bom. Voltaremos!

Nice hotel. I had one of the rooms with 2 balconies on the upper floors and thought it was really good value. I do like the pool bar too.

Razoável mas com boa localização
o hotel tem uma boa localização, mas tivemos problemas com a agua que estava sempre fria quando muito morna, no 1º dia o quarto tinha um cheiro desagradável, atendentes da recepção falta simpátia, tem um bom café da manhã, bar da piscina abre tarde as 10:30. Nunca conseguiamos vaga para estacionar o carro, colocamos na rua e fomos multados. Camas excellentes quarto espaçoso com ótima vista.

Good location with plenty of restaurants in the area. Good choice of options for breakfast and staff helpful when one of us was gluten intolerant providing gluten free bread for breakfast and other options. Excellent value for money.

I’d be hard pressed to give it 1 star.
Total scam. I booked here cause of the 4 star rating, the spa and the great reviews. A pool, balconies in every room, and the location seemed perfect. We arrived at 2am because of a delayed flight. The staff present at check in was nice. Our room wasn’t very clean, but it’s so dated it’s hard to tell. The beds are uncomfortable. It was non refundable and expensive. (Some nights were 180€). We immediately found a filthy coffee cup in the cabinet with old moldy trash in it. Looked like a nest to be honest. There isn’t actually coffee either. A dead cockroach the size of my thumb on the floor. And the bathroom surfaces smeared with a dirty rag. The blackout curtains ripped and tattered. Hard concrete bed and a stained sheet. A balcony facing a dirt patch and a parking lot. We asked to be moved and the reception was kind and agreeable. But, our only other option was almost as bad, much smaller, but on a higher floor therefore it had a better view. Although a fire escape staircase is there too. The bidet has no pressure and useless. The hot water will go cold and then burn you. Two twins pushed together are uncomfortable. Only one bedside table. Ripped blackout curtains. No coffee setup at all. We asked for coffee cups and a kettle and bought our own instant coffee, but they never replaced cups. The pool is nice but freezing,and the pool bar was never open. the bar next door called the Tipsy was awesome with a really nice bartender. We didn’t bother with the food or the spa.

Insgesamt befriedigend. Manches funktioniert nicht zuverlässig: die elektronischen Schlösser der Zimmertüren, die Aufzüge, die Fernseh-Fernbedienung. Schöner Meerblick. Zimmer "mit Berglick" auf den unteren Etagen sollten richtig heißen: mit Parkplatzblick. Lautes Publikum, überwiegend Gruppen.

Definitely not a 4*. Mediocre breakfast rooms are so outdated and furniture is grubby. Pool online said it was heated in winter this was not the case, it was like swimming in ice. When asked about it at reception they said it’s because their isn’t enough people in the hotel to warrant it being heated. How are they allowed to advertise this then? Toilet constantly made a sound unless you lifted the flush up. Bathroom was very standard.

Fantastic
Just wonderful. I rebooked 5 more days before the end of my stay. Great location, pool, and excellent value for money! Above all else is the employees. From the moment I walked in, Isabelle and Sarah stole my heart and made me feel at home instantly! All the other staff equally as friendly. When I read some of the negative reviews- honestly, I thought those guests must have been somewhere else! Housekeeping and the wonderful masseuse downstairs were no exception to this high level of service!!

4 nights room only fine. Reasonable price, although late checkout option would not have been. Anyone with mobility issues note this is on a hill between roads and lifts to not reach all levels.

Not as good as it once was
This was our 5th stay at Hotel Raga which is an affordable, well-located hotel in Funchal. Unfortunately, we've noticed quite a change in how the hotel is run after it was taken over by Muthu in 2017. The hotel just doesn't seem as friendly anymore, you can't get anything to eat by the pool and the bar there is constantly playing 'heartbreak' songs that put a bit of a damper on the mood. Further, when we first arrived we were put in a 'land-view', double room instead of the room we'd actually ordered which was a bit of a hassle. I really hate to say this because we've loved this hotel and stayed there so often, but it's just not as good as it once was.

Well maintained clean hotel
Great to get away Hotel clean and we'll maintained All staff friendly and cheerful, covid protocol followed at all times Food plentiful but a little bit the same each day ( this may have been due to restrictions??) Overall a good holiday experience The locals we met were all helpful and genuinely nice to us which makes travel so much nicer
