«The price value was incredible- it a camping site with not really impressive looking cabins, the stay turned out fantastically both due to the accuracy communication on what was most important- the beach and the kangaroos. From 4:45 and all day we got the most fantastic nature experiences. And when the sun set it was both cost and comfortable in and outside the cabin. I would have enjoyed using the BBQ on the first evening, but it had apparently been empty of gas a couple of days. There were ...

«Couldn't order diner because the kitchen closed early, and the male staff member was very rude and unprofessional about it. He then closed the bar early, even while there was a line of people still checking in, and waiting to order. Then to top off the rude and unprofessional staff member, the bed felt like it had been acquired from an op shop 20 years ago and dressed with linen that stunk. Very disappointed»

«Opposite a beachside park this motel is extremely comfortable, spacious and very relaxing after a long day of driving. The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in in the last 10 days road tripping in NSW and Qld. I had the best night's sleep since leaving home.»

«Mackay is not the center of the world, and the city has clearly suffered after Covid with a lot of store closures etc. It also doesn’t have the big tourist streams as larger Australian cities have. Seeing the selection of hotels, we chose to stay at the Ocean International as it is situated beautifully at the beach with a wonderful garden. Given that the hotel is quite affordable, we did expected that the hotel would be somewhat in need of renovation and that we were not to expect a premium ...

«This was a fantastic retreat. I was unsure what to expect but found it was better than I expected, somehow. As a family with young kids, my two just loved if from the moment we arrived. The cabin had toys and fun items (& chocolate) as well as having an outdoor play space and a creek to go exploring. But with undercover parking, outdoor fire pit, bbq on porch, the accommodation was just fantastic. Couldn't be happier with our stay»

«Location was good, staff very helpful and close to local restaurants. Only negative for me as a non smoker is, there is no smoking in the rooms but many would sit outside and smoke which I found could be smelt while in my room.»

«Stayed 2 nights. No cleaning or fresh towels in either of our rooms. Management blamed cleaners for missing room. Both rooms ??? Really?! Did provide clean towels on request »

«Pro's: Clean bedsheets and towels, aircon was working. Con's: The room was dated and old, smelled a bit musty. The room entrance was right next to the hotel's rear exit where they had lots of rubbish stashed, general condition was terrible. »

«Close to national parks, bushwalking and viewing of platypus. Not a lot of bird life to be had - arrived in the clouds and mist, departed the same way with some rain thrown in. Wi-fi and TV connections were non-existent during our stay - many drop outs and breaking up of signal.»

«A beautiful, peaceful location with stunning views over the ocean. The grounds and pool were beautifully maintained and the lovely lady at the bar was friendly, welcoming and most helpful. What let this place down for us was the room. It needed an upgrade and was dirty.»
