«I think it was all an engineering issue. Entering the hotel, the lobby was un-airconditioned which made checking in a sweaty , uncomfortable affair. Apparently the engineering team switches that off as energy saving. Entering the room, 2 essential light bulbs were broken, the entry hall and the bathroom. Finally, the air-conditioning was so noisy that it was almost impossible to sleep. Dirty filters and small outlets. It was convenient but I would never choose it again.»

«Mackay is not the center of the world, and the city has clearly suffered after Covid with a lot of store closures etc. It also doesn’t have the big tourist streams as larger Australian cities have. Seeing the selection of hotels, we chose to stay at the Ocean International as it is situated beautifully at the beach with a wonderful garden. Given that the hotel is quite affordable, we did expected that the hotel would be somewhat in need of renovation and that we were not to expect a premium ...

«The price value was incredible- it a camping site with not really impressive looking cabins, the stay turned out fantastically both due to the accuracy communication on what was most important- the beach and the kangaroos. From 4:45 and all day we got the most fantastic nature experiences. And when the sun set it was both cost and comfortable in and outside the cabin. I would have enjoyed using the BBQ on the first evening, but it had apparently been empty of gas a couple of days. There were ...

«Entrance to the motel was step so if you have a small car use the driveway to the left as you won't scrape you car. Watch the awning roof height as my roof rack 2m high almost touch the structure. »
