«It was pretty good overall. No light switch near the bed, the duvet was too heavy. I didn't like not having a key and it was a nuisance having to keep a note of codes and having to type them in every time you entered. Also, I didn't like receiving the codes at the last minute. But these are all minor points, overall it was good.»

«We stayed two nights at Pickmere guest house, and it was very enjoyable. The house itself is beautiful and rustic, and the room we got was spacious and tastefully furnished. Beds absolutely fantastic. Breakfast was very good with locally sourced ingredients, plenty of coffee and a quiet atmosphere. The owners were very helpful and friendly. «Owner was rude before we even got to the property (sent me a video telling me she was fed up of lazy people and came across very aggressive). When we arrived at the property it was in poor condition. There was black mold in the bedrooms, missing paint on the walls which were barely covered by paintings. It said it could sleep 12 people but it barely fit 8 of us. There was a limit on the time we could go into the garden and use the hot tub. Also there was a camera pointed directly at the hottub ...

«In poor state. Dirty toilet with skid marks and one towel used when we first arrived. Tiny double bed with only one duvet and one sheet, which they had arranged horizontally as it was for two people. Did not work in practice, especially since it was no heat and therefore very cold at night. The radiator did not work and could not be adjusted. Also, the shower had low pressure and there were no fridge. Only good thing is location if you are going to Old Trafford and MAN airport. »

«The only issue we’ve experienced about our stay was the cleanliness issues. The whole place could do with a deep deep clean and small touch ups. I believe no matter how much money you pay, you should be able to stay in a clean environment. Apart from the cleanliness, our stay was great. The staff was great and helpful. Fridge was a fantastic bonus. We haven’t used other facilities like dining room etc but I know that was available. No safety on the windows, my son is 5 so he knew not to go near ...
