«For a long weekend in the area, this was a great place for my wife and I, two of our adult sons and our dog. The house was clean and comfortable and just off a nice park trail for our pup. Kitchen supplies (spices and oils) were somewhat limited, so bring your own if you intend to cook. Pots and pans were adequate. Host supplied Keurig cup coffee.»

«We had a family wedding in the area and gathered 3 couples with a few kids comfortably here. House was stocked with anything you'd need. We made a big breakfast and relaxed with morning coffee. Stayed indoors due to a busy mosquito season but enjoyed games and drinks both nights. Loved the big windows! Beds were comfortable and we all slept great. Owner was easy to communicate with.»

The house itself was clean and spacious—everyone (two couples, two singles) had their own space if they needed a minute to themselves. The details—from ample linens and phone chargers in every room to the coffee maker and French press to the board games—were immaculate. I fully recommend The Gables for a getaway!»

«Compared to other properties we have stayed in I would give it 3 stars. We did all our own cooking in this home but realized we should have brought much more bottled water as the water in all taps and showers was VERY foul smelling. The smell lingered in the room and on the person after using the water. More than I care to explain. I realize they had a water test a couple years ago but I recommend another test immediately. No minerals smell like fecal matter. If there is a reason for this smell ...

«We had a great mothers & daughters weekend while attending a wedding locally. The rental had everything we needed to ensure moms and girls had an enjoyable time! We had some confusion about the pontoon inclusion and there were ants in the kitchen and dining room which we notified the host about immediately. Ashley, was prompt with any questions or concerns during our stay which made us feel truly taken care of!»
