- Pros: beautiful resort, friendly staff for the most part, good food and drinks, wine is not good but I kind of expected that; beach is right there and nice, pools are great, towels are available, service at pool and beach is great, plenty of beach chairs, golf carts taking you to your room etc are super fun especially for the kids and they’re always on time and barely ever a wait, fantastic breakfast buffet
- Cons: the amenities are dated, the timeshare lead person was too pushy (Hector was great though!), very long waits for check in and check out and staff wasn’t friendly for that part at all (didn’t even ask how our stay was etc), long waits at restaurants until someone takes your order.. but it’s vacation and not a problem.. the reason for my rating is because my husband and I both got food poisoning on day 3 and he on day 4.. we never left the resort and were somewhat careful (bottled water, etc) but somehow managed to get very very ill which ruined the rest of the trip and flight home; luckily our kids were spared so I believe the issue was either the ice in some of the drinks we had (I didn’t let our kids have any ice..) or some of the ceviche maybe which the kids also didn’t eat but who knows. Point is, for a 5 star trip that I paid a small fortune on for my husbands 40th bday, I’d expect to not get that sick; ;( We were having a great time until then
