The resort is beautiful! Would recommend it to anyone. Walked into downtown area, which was also beautiful. Ate at Fuego, which was very good; although pretty expensive. Only negative was being woken up with chainsaw and yard equipment before 8am one of the days.

I was pleasantly surprised with the friendly staff and my beautiful room which opened up to a patio and grass and a sandy beach like area. The evening was quiet and the fire pits were lit with a nice surrounding seating area. I was very happy with my stay at this hotel, I would stay there again.

My husband and I had a water view room with a balcony. The room was beautiful, the bed was dreamy, and the view was spectacular. Due to the weather we didn't get a chance to get in the swimming pool or Hot tub but they were both very inviting. We did however spend our mornings working out in the fitness room. It was well equipped ,clean and spacious. Also, the there is a beautiful park steps away from the hotel which the Queen Mary sits on the other side of. The entire scenery is magnificent, refreshing and relaxing. I will definitely Book again.

Where can I start in this disaster of a trip? First off my room was not ready by check in. They had me wait while other went ahead and got their room. Second, they finally after 35 minutes my room was ready. Walked in and human/dog hair all over the floor along with food crumbs. Lastly, the found disgusting BED BUGS on the beds. Reported all these serious issues to management. Was first offered only 2 complimentary drinks. After being slightly upset then decided to move us rooms. But after talking to one more customer there, their room was also dirty. Decided to leave the property. They did refund me my money but will take 4 business days to get my $500 back. Totally ruined my weekend for my family.

Location is great, loved the outside areas although they could be kept up better. The whole place just needs some refreshing, everything is kinda worn out for the price they ask for a night. Our bathroom door did not close all the way with a 4 inch gap . Chair in the room was really dirty. Elevator was gross. Restaurant was good and the bar !

The only dislike is the shuttle service can only stay within 2 miles...rediculous since the cruise port is 7 miles away.

I loved the concept of the Mayan hotel. I loved the art work they had in the main lobby. Loved the wood Aztec calendar in the lobby. The thing is the Aztecs were different than the Mayans so that calendar doesn’t go with the “Mayan” theme. Overall the hotel is an old hotel and not worth the price. The room decore was old and felt musky. Seems like they just put some random wallpaper that went with the Mayan them and some old furniture and called it done. All the fixture in the bathroom were already rusting from bad ventilation, the furniture wasn’t dusted and it seemed that the room was never vacuumed. All the dirt was just swept to one corner of the room which was kind of gross. The only convenient about it is that it is close to the port so if you’re going on a cruise it will be easy to get to. I would say this hotel is not worth the stay or what you are paying to stay here. There’s a double tree a min away. May be a better stay.

35 USD per night just to park your car in their open air lot. Room was advertised as beach view but is actually marina view (there’s no real beach here). Other than that, the pool was nice.

We arrived at 10:30am and we were able to check in with no issue. They also can hold your baggage until checkin. They also have complimentary shuttle to the cruise port.
