Super clean property ! Friendly staff , the lay out of the hotel was beautiful ! Definitely felt like a resort in the middle of Downey ! Would definitely book again. It’s convenient too with LA traffic , every “tourist” attraction was 30 mins away each direction . But if you wanna go to the beach I would suggest somewhere closer to it because the traffic from the beach to hotel was 1 1/2 hours (20 miles) SHEESH. But other than that everything else was Perfect !

I normally love Embassy Suites, this location was severely understaffed, staff was answering phones for reservations, trying to check people in.., I called and asked for extra blanket- never came, my family stayed there had 3 rooms all felt the same. My daughter left a dress in the room has called several times no answer or someone will get back to her, Rushed on the phone… I would never stay at this location again

Some of the property is cosmetically outdated and could a freshening up for looks, but very friendly hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast! Was like having a personal chef with homemade omelettes to order, and very yummy choices. Safe neighborhood and close to anything you might need. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was not clean when we checked in nor did they clean during our 3 night stay. We ad to ask for towels twice and toilet paper. There was vomit by the ice machine and again in an elevator. We’ve stayed at a number of Embassy Suites but the rooms and service were terrible. The lobby and dining areas looked a lot better so at check in we didn’t have any idea what we were getting ourselves into. The location was good for what we needed and the area restaurants were great!

my only complaint was that the rooms were smelly. we rented 2 units. one room was very distinct of smoke smell. my family renting that room was relocated to a different room and it still smelled of smoke (or very musty) but not as much. and our room had a faint smell of smoke - or musty/old/mildew type smell. it made it difficult to sleep. and this hotel is supposed to be completely "smoke - free" but the rooms really smelled.

Every ring was great except the pool was not heated, it was very cold. Regardless my kids had lots of fun in the indoor pool. It would have been nice to have it at least lukewarm. Room was clean and food was decent. Made to order omelets smelled delicious but the line was way too long to wait so we opted for the ready to serve options. Would recommend for families with kids. Nice central location.

We will never stay at an Embassy Suites again!! At check-in, the lady at the front desk was on a personal call, and obviously upset that she had to take time off her call to check us in. When we pulled the sofa bed out, there was about 10 dirty sheets in it. I went to the front desk, and the same lady, still on her cell, and annoyed again, I told her about the sheets, and that we needed new bedding and sheets for the sofa bed. She informed me that the security guard will bring them up. He brought some blankets but, no sheets. We asked him for sheets and a fan, the fan is another issue. He told us that he will bring sheets if they had any available, same with the fan. Thank good, they had both. At 2:30 am, water started leaking from the ceiling, on one of the beds and the nightstand. We are on the 3rd floor???? I called the front desk and requested a new room. We got moved to the second floor. The room was better, cleaner, but, the air was stagnant. Since the a/c is controlled by the hotel, and the air was not cycling as stated on the printout by the thermostat, we opened the window, just to find out there was no screen so, so much for that idea. Breakfast, they give you a ticket to get your eggs but, don’t forget to ask for your potatoes and sausage up front, or they will give you a hard time if you walk around and ask for them. Because they want another ticket. As for the a/c, why is there such a control over the use of it? You have to ask for a fan or heater???

Pool and hot tub had chunks of hair in it. And the day we left there was a baby cockroach in our room. Management comped our parking fees for the cockroach issue. The architecture of the building and layout was unique, but outdated. One elevator made us nervous by all the noises it made when traveling upwards. The best thing about the stay was the made to order omelette bar.

In comparison to most other Embassy Suites around the area, this is the one that looks the most updated, but the bathroom definitely needed work (had mold, needs new caulking, shower faucet showed a hole,etc.) The carpet and furniture looked dirty and had bad stain spots, so did one of the duvet covers. Some of the staff were nice and helpful, others didn’t have the most welcoming or helpful attitude (bar tender at manager’s reception, night receptionist). Also, there should be some leniency with the early check in fee, especially for loyal customers. We arrived less than 1 hour before check in time, had 2 young children and an older person with us and there was no effort to try to be accommodating with the check in and were charged the $25 fee.

There were kids running up and down the hall till 1130 while also knocking on doors. Called the desk and it still continued. Next morning as there was a large group for breakfast the did not have any of the bakery choices available besides muffins. For the hot selection they did not have the omelettes available and when I asked about them I was told they would be available at 7:00 a.m. while the current time was 6:59. As my family was standing there I asked if we would be able to just get an omelette when they start since we were not aware of there being a special time we were told no as we had already gave our breakfast ticket. So with no choice we took our plates to a table to try to make the best of it. I went to get the family juice and came back to the table we all tried our juice that was completely watered down with a little color added. The eggs for complete slop and gooey while the potatoes and sausage were both frozen. We left to get breakfast somewhere else after that. I am beyond ashamed of this property as I was telling my wife this is my favorite hotel chair and it was a complete embarrassment. I honestly can say I will choose embassy suites again. I paid good money to stay at a comfortable hotel well rest with a good meal in the morning and was I got was a let down with a complete waste of money that I might as well have thrown away.

The hotel was way too loud everything echoed. Thin walls could hear people talking in lobby area from 8 th floor with everything closed!!! Bar inside is a cool touch but that was not probably why everyone was so loud. If you want a quiet place this is not it. Dance theatre next door so lots of kids at this hotel. Small pool don’t bother with it and 100 kids inside. Walking distance to lots of restaurants was a plus. Check in line took 45 min but girl was super nice and pleasant to talk with.

This place is very old and run down. Manager was rude and had an attitude. Light switches didn’t work, TV didn't work put me in a double room when I asked for a single, water was leaking into the room from the patio because of pouring rain. Overall unpleasant stay

Dirty Room ,Bad experience this time
It is amazing thats a hotel over $200 dlls a nifht is that dirty , when i saw all the dirt And a broken fingernail Right next tonthe bed the second night i immediately move tonthe other one ,carpets are dirty , i also cant understand the lack of interest of the employees from front desk to the restaurant, the first Morning i arrived late for breakfast 8:55 AM And they were closing ,the cook was Nice to me ,but the rest was like they were doing me a favor also second Morning even earlier , it's a hotel chain please continue to improve , last 2 stays in Anaheim were great but this one was Bad ,i know NAMM Convention generated demand but is no excuse to get a Clean room
