This was my second stay at London Inn Motel. The location is okay and the room condition was acceptable, but I had a serious issue with the security deposit, which has still not been resolved.
The motel charges a $200 deposit. During my first stay in November, $200 was deducted from my account. I waited almost one month, but the money was never credited back. When I contacted the hotel, I was told it was only an authorization and to contact my bank. After checking with my bank multiple times, they confirmed that the amount was fully deducted and never returned.
During my recent second stay, I spoke directly with the manager and showed him my bank statements proving the money was not credited back. After checkout, I again contacted my bank, and they confirmed no refund was received. When I called the hotel, I was asked to call after 5 PM. When I did, the manager was very rude and claimed that the money had been deposited the previous day—nearly three months later.
I asked for a receipt or proof of refund, which my bank specifically requested, but the hotel refused to provide any documentation. After that, they stopped answering my calls altogether. The manager did not cooperate at all in resolving this issue.
I am still waiting for written proof or confirmation that the $200 deposit was refunded. This experience has been extremely stressful and unprofessional. I would strongly advise future guests to be very careful with the deposit and to keep all records if staying here.
