The check in process was not up to snuff. I did all the online check in process, get to the hotel and still have to present my card for the deposit, what’s the sense of the checkin online to have to do it all again there. Then go for a check out, as for a copy of receipt, that she is holding in her hand, and she’s she can’t give it to me. I said a copy of the one in your hand. And she was like, you booked through Expedia to use it to get my receipt.
The hotel itself is dated, and uses old cleaning equipment, poor maid doing the main carpet could not clean a piece of winter salt, vacuuming the same spot over and over. Also no where on the description of the hotel does it say there is no elevator. Getting a family room on second level, carrying the luggage up, not great. And no family rooms on main floor. When they know guests are coming, they didn’t double check the room and make sure the heat is on. Got to the room and temps were set to like 15 degrees, with minus 18 outside. Curtains open and drafts coming in the windows. Took hours to get up to 19 degrees and make it warm enough to sleep.
Didn’t try breakfast as it’s not included, didn’t get to the pool but looked nice enough.
The family room, despite being cold, was huge. 2 large rooms, one for sleeping and 1 living area. Nice to relax in, wish there was an extra chair to sit on with the couch, but there was a table and chairs that could be used.
Would not recommend to go there again. Pay more for a better hotel.
