"The room was down in a basement (mesanin) and it smelled mouldy. No windows to open and no heat in the bathroom. We paid for late checkout but the staff came in the room twice even though we had the do not disturb sign on the door. The breakfast was very nice with very friendly staff. Brighton is lovely and we will be back, but not at this hotel. "

"Small hotel with a big personality. This is the perfect base if you need a bed and a breakfast, and want to spend your money on other things than luxury. Staff is helpful and nice, breakfast is good (toast and coffee is excellent), rooms are clean."
