«There are definitely some issues going on with this rental. The bathroom fills with a scent of raw sewage if you keep the door closed like we did to keep our dog out. You couldn’t even breathe in there with the window opened. I failed to read all of the reviews before I booked it and it seems like I’m not the first person who has had this problem. «The house was very clean and had almost everything we needed. It was very comfortable for a one night stay! Some things that would be nice to add include a nightstand on both sides of each bed, as applicable, and lamps! (all lighting was overhead and harsh). There were also no checkout instructions; I had to text the host to ask what we needed to do. A printed/laminated copy would be helpful to have in the house. «Loved staying here SO much! Everything was extremely well kept. It was so peaceful. Host was accommodating - letting us change our stay to a day later when our travel plans changed. Only thing worth noting is the 15min drive up the mountain on gravel through very rural area! Made us wonder if we were in the right place haha - but that rural setting is what makes it so lovely and peaceful. We definitely want to come back!»

The older home is well maintained in an established neighborhood. Extremely clean. Home is well located to explore the northern, central and southern entrances to New River Gorge National Park.
