Luksus, men uteserveringen trenger en opprydning
Dette er jo på mange måter et overdådig luksushotell med nydelig beliggenhet. Det som imidlertid ikke fungerer er baren/lunsjrestauranten. Det kan virke som om det er noe alvorlig galt med ledelse/logistikk. Tre ganger fikk vi feil regning, og vinker du ikke på dem fra bordet, kan du bli sittende en evighet uten å få noe service. Dette var gjennomgående gjennom hele vårt opphold.

This was my first solo trip so it was important for me to stay at a safe hotel. Hotel Fariones did not disappoint in this area. The hotel is stunningly beautiful, best place to relax and recharge. It is like being in a tropical oasis only in Europe, lovely palm trees, tropical plants, flowers an infinity pool, two jacuzzi’s, and you can have a lovely massage as I did looking out to sea. It has its very own beach however, you will need to use your room card to access the security doors to the main beach which I enjoyed very much going for a run early in the morning it’s so safe! I found the area to be safe to walk around by myself until 8/9pm some nights. Everything thing you need is easily accessible restaurants, bars, shopping etc, if you want to rent a car, bicycle, scooter you can do that too all in walking distance from the hotel. The staff are great throughout all very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Hotel Fariones. 🙂

Elegant Setting, Service Needs Refinement
The hotel offers a beautiful ambiance with diverse, well-designed areas. The reception staff are professional and attentive, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. However, the service in the bar and restaurants needs improvement. Despite ample staff, a lack of familiarity with the systems led to multiple service errors, not only with us but with other patrons as well. With some additional training, the bar and restaurant service could match the high standard set by the reception staff. It still remains once of our favourite places for rest and recuperation.

The Hotel Fariones is a first class hotel. Every aspect of the hotel experience was excellent from check-in through to check-out. The rooms were well appointed and spotless , quiet with beautiful views. There were plenty of hangers and storage space, the shower was powerful and the bed was comfortable. The public areas, including the pool were beautifully designed, well kept and always clean. There were plenty of sun beds, with the pool staff on-hand to help with umbrellas etc. There are plenty of other options to soak up the sun if you don’t want to be by the main pool. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly, knowledgable and extremely helpful. We only ate breakfast in the hotel - there was plenty of choice with eggs cooked to order. Poolside service was good with reasonably priced drinks. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance of the hotel - it is at the quiet end of a busy tourist resort so don’t expect a sleepy village location when you step outside the hotel. However, when you are in the hotel, you could be in any luxury destination around the world. If I return to Puerto Del Carmen, I’ll definitely stay in the Hotel Fariones again. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The staff were all so pleasant to deal with in all areas. The dining options were perfect - we tried all three restaurants for dinner and all were great. Facilities were lovely with a good variety of places to sunbathe. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!!

Great rooms, plenty of excellent sun beds, friendly helpful staff and excellent food in the Asian restaurant. The evening buffet experience was a bit hit and miss and the lighting far to bright. The other restaurant was ok, but the flavours were not always to our taste. Overall an excellent hotel.

Super sejour
Tres agreable sejour. Emilie a la reception en particulier et le reste du staff ont ete tres aimables et aux petits soins. Le seul petit hic fut le transfert d'arrivee que nous avions reserve via l'hotel. Pour 45€, le service n'etait pas a la hauteur et nous recommandons plutot de prendre un taxi pour 2 personnes. Ca vous coutera moins cher pour un service similaire voir meilleur.

Magnifique Hôtel les pieds dans l’eau. A notre arrivé nous avons été surclassés, superbe chambre, spacieuse et extrêmement propre. La vue de la chambre est imprenable. Le personnel est adorable et tres attentif. Il est également tres discret, il y a deux passages en chambre par jour pour l’entretien et nous n’avons vu les femmes de chambres qu’une seule fois en une semaine. Petit déjeuné en quantité et en qualité. Les parties communes sont décorées avec goûts en respectant l’identité de l’île et les inspirations de césar Manrique. La piscine à débordement est agréable et offre une vue superbe. Les jacuzzi sont chauffés mais pas en excès. Il y a plusieurs accès privé à la plage a partir de l’hôtel. La plage n’est pas privé mais très agréable, surtout le matin. L’hôtel possède également une boutique. Elle propose des produits en tout genre (vêtements homme/ femme/ enfants, bijoux, produits locaux, objets divers). Nous y avons fait une dégustation de vin. Tous les soirs, l’hôtel organise un petit concert (piano, groupe jazz…) Il n’y a rien à redire sur les prestations de cet hôtel. Seul bémol, le stationnement autour de l’hôtel est tres difficile. Je recommande la location de voiture pour faire la visite de cette île mais il est difficile de trouver une place aux alentours de l’hôtel. Néanmoins celui propose un parking privé à 15€ la journée. Je recommande vivement.

Let down by some fundamentals
If you like beds that are way too soft, you are not vegan, are not put on the 4th floor and you can live with a schizophrenic shower... then you will probably have a great stay. Let me elaborate. There is a lot to like about this hotel: - The pool temperature was enjoyable on cooler (20C degree) days and the pool area and poolside service is great - Overall the staff were excellent and attentive, the best service experience I have had for a long time - Wifi is excellent throughout the hotel, although not by the pool - The hotel is decorated very tastefully and looks fantastic - Puerto del Carmen is in a great location Unfortunately the hotel is let down by some fundamentals: - The first floor (they call it the 4th floor) is right above the restaurant. And if you are unlucky enough to be in room 426-436 then your room opens onto the internal atrium, which means any little noise made in the atrium/reception/bar/restaurant/entrance reverberates straight into your room. Asked them to do something, never heard back. Senior manager in Tweed jacket and elbow patches was totally apathetic about it. - The showers are infuriating. Think warm to cold to scalding within 20 seconds without touching the tap. - The bed is wayyyy too soft and was impossible to have a good night sleep in, you just sank into it, no support at all. - Only one vegan lunch option (Penne with tomato sauce) which is pathetic. Overall great hotel let down by some of the basics.

We are very happy to know that the great majority of the services offered at the Hotel Fariones ***** have been to your liking and therefore encourages and motivates us to continue working and improving our processes to create unforgettable experiences. We are delighted to know that you had the best service experience in our hotel and that you value and speak so highly of our staff. Additionally we would like to thank you for your assessment of the pool facilities, atmosphere and decoration of the establishment. Regarding your comment about the location of your room, it is true that it is situated on the floor above the hotel reception and we were aware of the comment made regarding the noise caused on one of your evenings whilst the cleaning was being performed. We would like to inform you that as soon as we were made aware of this comment from one of our night reception team, we modified the cleaning hours to avoid further disturbance during your stay. In order to achieve optimal cleaning of the facilities and to make minimal disturbance for our guests, we clean the common areas from 6 o’clock in the morning. Having been said, this is the first comment we have received and shall we waiting if further modifications if needs be. Regarding the changes in the temperature of the shower, we were not made aware of this comment nor regarding any other discomforts with the room during your stay. In any case, we have checked the installation of the shower in the room you occupied and have changed the tap avoiding any possible future complications. We would of liked to have received this comment during the time you stayed with us in order to solve it and make your stay even more pleasant. Regarding the comment about the mattress, we are very sorry to hear that it was not to your liking. Our mattresses are not classified as soft mattresses, they are completely new and of the superior quality, just like the rest of the materials provided here at the hotel. The quality of the mattress is one of the positive aspects most commented by our clients, but neither the less we are sorry it has not been to your liking. In any case, if you had transmitted this comment to us during your stay, we could have arranged a topper to be put on the mattress and test if the hardness of the mattress was more assimilated to what you are familiar with. We also have alternative pillows and sheets ensuring our guests have optimal rest. As to our vegan gastronomic offer, firstly I would like to mention that we are aware of this aspect and are currently working on modifying our menus in order to improve and offer guests a wider variation. In any case, additionally to pasta and salads, we are always willing to make any type of preparation for all those who may have food intolerances of diety specifications. Once again we would lik

Good hotel and very new. Staff were very helpful and the hotel overall was to a good standard. The surroundings in terms of restaurants and bars are a bit tired and need to re-generate like the hotel did.

À 15 minutes de l’aéroport sans jamais entendre les avions, l’hôtel est très bien placé dans la ville et permet de faire les magasins ou de marcher le long de la mer. L’hôtel est très bien entretenu et le personnel très impliqué. Pour les activités sportives, tout est prévu dans un complexe en dehors de l’hôtel. Les équipements sont bien mais le personnel y est moins sympathique. Sinon tout est top y compris les repas qui sont pris dans une salle qui n’est pas bruyante.

I travel frequently for business, even over the past difficult 2 years. For me Hotel Fariones stands out amongst the nicest places I have stayed in. Prices have certainly risen since I was last there a year ago, but still represent good value in this beautiful hotel. It is one of the few hotels where they seem to have a knack for finding and training outstanding individuals not just in their management team, but throughout the departments. It reminded of the Mandarin Group! You know when you see the constantly visible General Manager, Inigo, cleaning tables, pouring coffee etc... etc... that there is a passion for hospitality led from the top. Inigo's exceptional team include guest relationship managers, who are always on hand to help guests no matter what. They sit away from the main reception area, which I think is a great idea. Harriet and Miriam are simply exceptional at their jobs. Lovely personalities balanced with just the right degree of professionalism. It can't be easy finding staff of this quality anywhere, let alone on tiny Lanzarote! I wish them both great success with their careers. I am sure that they will go far. The hotel is beautifully set by the sea and next to a very large beach. Whilst the bars and frontline of Puerto Carmen are on the doorstep, this is frankly an oasis. reflecting the doubtless very significant investment. I stayed in a junior suite, which in my opinion was a little oversold as I would have expected a junior suite to be larger.

Si le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse est paradisiaque , le buffet dînatoire est décevant , tout est artificiel , pas appétissant ou répétitif. Sur le plan sanitaire , c’est limite car aucune protection au buffet : pas de gants jetables avec pinces communes. Je n’ai jamais vu dans la journée une désinfection du mobilier extérieur : chaise longues …. Sinon , le jardin tropical , la piscine à débordement face à la mer avec son bout de plage , sont paradisiaques.
